Bolton's hardly a million miles from Hudds is it?
For a guy who's played for Reading and Cardiff he's being a bit anal.

Some nurk on twitter cut up his season card last night because we haven't signed le Fondler. Fecking eejit.
I wouldn't have him now anyway. Not good enough for this league.

That's not quite true but I can see why you think that, the lad who tweeted the picture of "his" SC was called Adam and yet the name on the season card was Peter Harrison

Time to face up to reality here, we failed to do our business in the summer. Everyone knew we needed players in certain positions and we didn't get them for one reason or another and now we are paying the price.
What really gets me though is we are continuing to ship out the likes of Paterson when we know full well we have no back up strikers.
For me it's a case of 2 scenarios.
1 We don't think we are in any danger of relegation and are trying to save a few quid(they're mistaken if they believe that)
2 we are getting rid of the big hitters and preparing for life in L1

3. We are also shipping out a few bad apples that give off bad vibes in the club for whatever reason (even though we supposedly have a vetting process to weed them out before we sign them). As good as he might be, Paterson blotted his copy book 12 months ago and we've done everything we can to keep him at arms length since then.

Remember Higginbotham? Came to Town to loud fanfares, dropped like a hot potato almost as soon as he turned up even though he seemed half decent when he did play.

Does Gerrard fit that description? Seems a bit gobby on twitter. Another bad apple?

Not fit for a start

I really don't see why the club are dragging their feet over a new striker, Le Fondre would be a quality signing, the latest is Hanson, my season ticket is off in the bin if this comes good, a total joke signing.

If we sign Hanson then we might as well offer to take one of the bottom three spots now.

I think town are getting rid of the players that are not in the long term or even short term plans of the club, who are earning high wages, just so we can free up spaces on the wage bill. plus it does give a few younger lads the chance to develop. if they are anywhere near good enough then the exposure to the first team will do them good, way more good than playing in the dev squad

Town fans do this every year.....moan about not signing anyone. Does my nut in.
Let's face facts here.
1. We didn't need any strikers in the summer as Robins knew we had Wells, Vaughan, Paterson, Stead, Carr, Scannell, Bunn.
2. As we know Robins went and Powell came in. He decides Stead and Paterson don't fit into his plans....and maybe Carr doesn't either. So NOW we need to get a striker in....not in the summer.
3. Everyone knew we needed a central defender (poss 2)....in comes Hudson....we still had Lynch, Gerrard, Wallace and Peltier. Again Robins thought there was enough cover there.
4. Same as this year, all Town fans were moaning at last winters' transfer window that we hadn't signed anyone...esp a striker. In came Wells for over a £1 million.
5. There are still 7 days to the end of the window. We have no idea what goes on behind the scenes at Town....but make no mistake, there will be a hell of a lot of activity going on.

Just have a little more patience. Proven goal scorers who aren't wanted at their respective clubs don't grow on trees.
