It was but, the win also created another record in league football at that time.

It was a first but, a first time what?

First team to get into double figures? No idea what else it could be Exactly that's another one done.
That just leaves Q4 & Q5

Bobby Hope's two caps against ????

Total Welsh caps of the two Williams'

Bobby Hope was capped against the Netherlands and Denmark.

The Williamseses earned 59 caps between them.

I've probably, in the past, made no secret of the fact that Bobby is my favourite player of all time.

This when the likes of 'The King' and 'The Bomber' and 'Chippy' were all playing and rightly gaining most of the attention.

Bobby was the midfield General and a superb passer of the ball whose only international recognition was two miserly caps for his Country: Scotland.

I was wondering what had happened to this great Albion icon.

Wikipedia still seems to indicate that he is still scouting for the Albion but, I thought that he had been released/replaced some years ago.

Anyone know where he is now??

He won four Schoolboy caps for Scotland and In another era he would have substantially added to his two Full International caps.

Holland & Denmark. That was hard work tracking them down.

Well done both!! Thumb up Thumb up Thumb up

Strange thing DD but, Bobby was my favourite player also and when you consider how many of our past greats were part of that era, putting him out front is praise indeed.

Our midfield general and a genuine No 10 player.( Oh let's not go there again!.) Laugh

I think Bobby Hope retired from his job at Albion when Roy Hodgson left to become England manager. Not 100% sure it was Hodgson's departure, but it was definitely on some head coach's departure, and we've had a few of those recently!

WHO AM I?
Bobby Hope shares his birthplace with that of another sports person - the latter was never a famous player but is noted as a national coach in her field.
Who is she?

Too early in the morning to cheat by Googling or using Wikki so I may be well off the mark here.

Famous female coach, never a great player suggests to me possibly Andy Murray's Mum; she of the sour face. Doh

RE: WHO AM I? - silverbaggie - 06-09-2015

OK let's get back to Footie questions for the moment.

I started supporting the Baggies during the 1959/60 season. Doh

At that time there were 22 teams in the old First Division including us.

No fewer than eleven of those other sides are now no longer in the present top division.

1) How many of them can you get?

2) Only one of today's top 'so called' big six were then in a lower Division then. Who were they? Laugh
