Apologies ritchie point added - have a creme egg before they all disappear from the shelves.

PSG play their 3rd English club in a row tomorrow when Arsenal are their opponents at The Emirates. Nobody is getting points in the competition given that PSG beat Liverpool and Munich beat Leverkusen in the Battle of the Bayer(n)s.

In the Town Points Plus Goals prediction decider, with one game to play Town are on 64+57=121. Halfway between jjamez (128) and ritchies (114) predictions.

A Town win and 7 goals would tip it AmChaff's way.

There's some hope, no hope and Bob Hope as options for that happening.

The tapes go up on the first Speedway Grand Prix this weekend in Landshut, Germany, while the motor brummy, brum, brum boys are busy getting a sun tan on Miami Beach. Judd Trump is still hanging in the corner pockets of Sheffield after Rocket Ron's new cue eventually failed him on Friday. That result should be chalked on the baize by late Monday evening.

In the NHL with a brace of deciding face-off's to play out west, Vancouver will play Las Vegas in R2 in the Western Conference and in the East, Toronto play Florida and Wishy Washy Washington play Carolina. That means Montreal fell at the first hurdle to Wishy Washy Washington. Sorry Snoots, you're first out and in charge of the Zamboni for the next round.

In the NBA there's also a decider needed between the Nuggets and the Clippers and the Rockets and the Warriors, wherever they are all from. What is it with these teams from the west end of North America? Otherwise, the Cavaliers will play the Pacers and the Knicks will play the Celtics in the Eastern Conference semi's. The Lakers lost to the Timberwolves so that's jjamez left to sweep the sweat off the court.

Then there's the EFL final weekend.
In the Chumpionship - come on Burnley
What?
In League One - done and dusted with Brum runaway winners. Points already awarded.
In the League nobody wants to win - Donny Rovers go to Notts County and Port Vale are home to The Gills. I did say Walsall were no Celtic back in the day. Did I take my own advice? No. AmChaff, themaclad and jjamez are still in with a shout.

North of the border, Falkirk beat Hamilton last night to win the Scottish Chumpionship, netting points for SCO, jjamez, SHEP and ritchie. Well done all. Livingston in losing at home to Partick Thistle ran them a close 2nd with Ayr a more distant 3rd. We had the top 3 covered between us.

The Womens Super League isn't finished yet but Chelsea are 9 points clear with 2 games to play. That makes them Chumpions in my book so points to everyone but AmChaff and SHEP. Arsenal and Man U are currently 2nd and 3rd though so the top 3 covered again.

I'll update the spreadsheet after Donald Trump announces his win in the snooker on Trump Soshul on Monday.

Ah, sod it. Points for everyone but AmChaff and me in The Chumpionship

RE: Sporting Predictions 2025 - theo_luddite - 03-05-2025

Points to AmChaff and jjamez in the League that Donny Rovers finally decided they wanted to win.

RE: Sporting Predictions 2025 - theo_luddite - 04-05-2025

The Trumpster didn't make it, so blanks all round in the snooker.

After all the fun and games so far this weekend, or not if you support Town, here's the latest spreadsheet/table update.

jjamez in double points already Thumb up but not much in it right now with lots of predictions still available to go pear shaped. Anyone wanting to change their mind about The Monaco Grand Prix or the French Froggy Tennis Championships needs to make their mind up by Spring Bank Holiday weekend.

Town finished up on 58 goals + 64 points = 122. That puts jjamez in pole position right now for the tie-breaker but, he has to be in a position for the tie-breaker to matter. Just saying ..... if it's between AmChaff and Snoots then AmChaff wins. I'll have a word with theo when I next meet him. Obviously wildly optimistic and must have been drinking Cool Aid Spritzers when he made that prediction. Blush Whistle So much for £2m+ and change on strikers that can't score.

The shale shifters got some mud on their goggles sliding round the bends in Landshut, Germany this weekend. Maybe I should have paid more attention, they've also thrown in a Sprint Race competiton this season (if they've done it before I've missed it) where two riders go head to head in a knockout format until 4 riders remain for the final. After a Sprint win on Friday and another in the Grand Prix Final race on Saturday, Bartosz Zmarzlik is already 6 points clear from England's Dan Bewley in 2nd. The Sprint races don't happen every weekend.

Hull KR v Warrington in The Challenge Cup Final, 8th June. AmChaff and themaclad still in with a shout in that one.

RE: Sporting Predictions 2025 - theo_luddite - 17-05-2025

Citeh came 2nd again at Wemberlee after going behind in an FA Cup Final. 'Nul Points' all round, no 'Douze Points' awarded in this round.

Well done Palace, none of us saw you coming. Thumb up
