No that's 4321, the diamond is 41212. I'd rather us play 4231, Wilshere and hendershon as the 2, Lallana, Sterling and the ox in the 3 and Sturridge up top

I would like to find a place for Barkley when he is fit & Walcott is still a potential big threat. We have a lot of promising players and if they can all get games, we might just have one hell of a side in four years time.

Walcott and Barkley would be on my team sheet

RE: INTERNATIONAL THREAD vs Switzerland - St Charles Owl - 14-09-2014

I am definitely with you on Barkley, but not 100% sold on Walcott!! Again though, there is a good crop of young players, they need to be brought through and coached by someone who can extend them and bring the best out of them, not sure that is Roy!!

Hodgson is a top coach. The problem is whether or not he is modern thinking enough to develop the youngsters. G Nev should help with that

The other problem is that as England coach he gets very little time with them as well!!

Apparently, the England manager has less time with his playing squad than any other major European side

RE: INTERNATIONAL THREAD vs Switzerland - consilio - 14-09-2014

I think it's due to the way the PL is set up and the complications around the cups and European comps

RE: INTERNATIONAL THREAD vs Switzerland - St Charles Owl - 15-09-2014

The Premier League is also part of the problem, for a while now they have cared little about the England team and that applies to the mangers, owners and administrators!! In Germany the league is still run by the German FA, as are the other European leagues, we are the only one as far as I know that the top league is independent.

The FA were terrible in the 80s, hence the PL was set up the way it is. They have little concern for England which will always handicap us.
