There's better strikers out there who will cost less money. It's down to Hammond and Pardew to find them.

I agree Josh, a distinctly underwhelming and massively overpriced player

Deeney is exactly the type of player we need right now. A bit of fire in his belly, a poacher who can hit the ground running......and he hates the Villa.

I'd swop Rondon and HRK for Deeney right now. But £20m is ridiculous.

Troy Deeney.........................I'm underwhelmed.

Only another 20 days with nothing happening on the transfer front to go........ DD Angry Angry

Problem we have is we’re bottom but 1 and that makes us an unattractive proposition from the off secondly we’re not known for splashing the cash. There are very few quality strikers around that will have prem experience. We’re not one of the glamour clubs. We always do business last minute mainly due to the fact the so called big clubs are first choice for any half decent player. So we have to hope Pardew Williams or someone has a rabbit to pull out the hat or it will be another HRK on the 31st at 11pm anything else and il eat my hat so we may as well be prepared for that outcome now. I think our best hope is a youngster that has ability is with Chelsea man c or u etc and wants to show his parent club he’s got what it takes to get in their first team or put another way we need another lukaku coz that’s the last time we had a great striker and like lukaku he will prove his worth and leave in the summer that’s the only hope I think we have of solving this issue

Furthermore the only rumours I see that do seem to be more than just paper talk is the departure of Johnny Evans who will probably be sold to free up funds to buy Deeney at closing time and we will be told its a great piece of business :0

Deeney - a bit too ugly.
Still like the Niasse link.....didn't know much about him at all but he sounds very much worth a punt to me

Speculation about Hernandez. I'd be happy with him above any of the others we've been linked to
