FFS Pei at your age, gonna be waiting days , and we don't keep the little blue pills here for the likes of you !!

RE: Match Thread - Norwich City - OvalOwl - 25-10-2014

Oh dear. Sorry about that, I fell asleep there. Sleepy I do hope the Zzzzzzzs didn't bother anybody. I think I'm happy with a point but we need to win a game soon and the next two don't look too easy just like this one.

Don't forget all you foreign Owls that in Blighty the clocks go back tonight and we will be on GMT for the Charlton game.

RE: Match Thread - Norwich City - Owlkev71 - 25-10-2014

Just got back from the game, worst performance of the season.
We didnt play 442, more like 4312, whatever it was it didnt work, players out of position, too many long balls. Defence did alright, Westwood MOTM and a clean sheet were the only positives.
Dont understand the GTF signing, not what was needed.
SG got it wrong today and got away with it, thanks to Westwood, he seemed more bothered in not losing the game than winning it.

RE: Match Thread - Norwich City - St Charles Owl - 25-10-2014

I think that last sentence may be a key point, is SG setting us up not to lose rather than to win?? We don't seem to have periods of pressure any more, we seem to sit too deep and allow the opposition possession. Sure the defense is doing well and maybe that is playing into that decision but we need to impose ourself more on the game and try to control the possession for once!!

Madman Celino up at Bellend Road has fired his new manager today!!!  They are truly a laughing stock with him in charge, he makes the MM of old look like the most laid back chairman in history!!! Laugh Laugh Laugh Laugh

RE: Match Thread - Norwich City - OvalOwl - 25-10-2014

Oh my giddy aunt. I don't know which is more laughable, the Leeds revolving door or Brum losing 0-8.

RE: Match Thread - Norwich City - St Charles Owl - 25-10-2014

Well I think we can laugh at Brum today as we are unlikely to see that again, but with L**ds we will have this opportunity at least another couple of times this season!! Laugh Laugh Laugh

RE: Match Thread - Norwich City - Kimmyowl - 26-10-2014

Westwood 10 outstanding
Palmer 6 steady
Lees 7 solid
Loovens 6 needs to up his game
Dielna 6 good feet but needs games
Maguire 6 busy but ineffective
Lee 3 lightweight off the pace and not good enough
Semedo 5 warrior but limited
Helan 7 did a good job at both ends
Nuhui 4 can't jump won't jump, he's a chump
May 5 tried but needs to get in the box more, for that needs supply
Subs
Drenthe 6 tried but needs boots with studs in
GTF 6 steady could be useful
Magohma 4 added nothing
SG 4 should've taken lee off for coke, needed some legs in midfield, needs to grow some balls and tell MM to loosen the purse strings and get a quality midfielder in

RE: Match Thread - Norwich City - peiowl - 26-10-2014

Wereham what are you doing taking time out to like imre's post? Doh

I thought you were supposed to be at an orgy? Laugh

RE: Match Thread - Norwich City - Owlkev71 - 26-10-2014

Poor first half with only a few chances for each team, May (header wide) & Lee (hooked one over the bar) for us while Westwood made two good saves.

2nd half, May had our only shot on target in the 62nd min, Palmer shot into the sidenetting from an acute angle. As the half wore on Norwich seemed like the only side that wanted to win the game, with Jerome twice and Redmond once denied by three quality saves from the best keeper in the Championship Thumb up . Norwich also missed with a free header from a corner which went wide. One of the most annoying things yesterday particularly near the end of the game when we got 2 or 3 free kicks with the chance to pump the ball into the Norwich box, we only had 3 or 4 players in the box Angry I thought we were the home side, shouldn't we be trying to win the bloody game SG Angry  Angry  Angry

Poss Owls 43 Norwich 57
Shots Owls 7 Norwich 9
On Target Owls 1 Doh  Norwich 5

Westwood - 9 - Five quality saves, MOTM by a long way
Palmer - 6 - Did ok, not much protection due to the 4312 formation
Lees - 7 - Solid as usual
Loovens - 6 - Did Ok, though has played better
Dielna - 6 - Played out of position at LB though did OK but as with Palmer not much protection
Helan - 5 - Played Left side of a central 3, out of position, did best he could.
Semedo - 6 - Battled as usual
Lee - 3 - Poorest game I have seen him play
McGuire - 5 - Played behind the front two, ineffective
May - 4 - Couple of half chances, bet he wishes he had the same service he got up in Scotland
Nuhiu - 5 - One or two moments of decent skill, but no attempts at goal

GTF - 3 - Touched the ball about 4 times, pointless signing
Drenthe - 6 - Same as what Kimmy said.
Mags - 3 - Didn't notice he had come on tbh.

SG - 2 - Strange formation, strange tactics, some players out of position, seemed to play for the draw imo, got away with it today thanks to Westwood.
