Huddersfield win putting us 5pts behind leeds and 6pts behind them .. by the way Norwich are away at wank wigan on Tuesday and when they win they will take 6th spot on GD . Again we must take all 3pts against Birmingham as i cant see leeds losing to Cardiff at home neither Norwich or derby losing there easy home games along with Reading although Huddersfield have a tricky trip to Qpr being the only bonus we can look for clawing 3pts nearer them again ?

Basically waht this all means is win win or a win is the only option and it wont make any difference to our spot now ! lose and for sure 3rd 4th and 5th spot will have to bigger a gap for us to catch up !

Not sure how Birmingham play im going to do a bit of spy work and ill drop in later with the results Thumb up but we surely have to play for goals and not stalemates Doh

Birmingham have won 1 in 11, which was against 10 man Fulham yesterday.

RE: Match Thread - Wigan v SWFC - Imre varadi - 05-02-2017

after watching all 15 minutes worth of Birmingham youtube stuff Sleeping from what ive seen they are piss poor at the back morrison is slow and cant fit in to obviously what Zola wants a passing game Laugh at birmingham realy ? but anyway hes the week spot but we must hit him with pace and not the type of Football weve been playing Doh Fessi has to be the man nearest as the chances of him being hacked to death are 100% and if the ref does his job Laugh cant believe ive said that sorry Whistle then we will get something Thumb up Back to there style and zola is trying to make them a passing team but with a crossing game that is all about jucewitze or whatever hes called getting on the end off them ... and he does floor or in the air and that worries the xxxx out of me as we also have the slowest cb in the league in loovens who actually gave juiciwick a free pass early on in the season Doh what can we do ? sasso and lees is the only sensible option i see but it seems loovens will play every game until injury Doh

In all they will suit us with the new way they play as we are at home and we should be running out 3-1 winners on friday if we take our chances and use pace upfront Thumb up

Pace up front and taking our chances??? You sure your talking about the Owls, Imre??????

RE: Match Thread - Wigan v SWFC - Imre varadi - 05-02-2017

a far as chances are concerned im hoping Rhodes is on the end of them from now on . so hoping that this problem is solved and the pace for me comes down to fessi being played out wide with mccmannaman getting a game ? reach can also hit them but id prefer him at LB !! problem solved there then !!!

RE: Match Thread - Wigan v SWFC - Towinjustonce - 05-02-2017

Seen the highlights we are just so slow and ponderous in attack and closing down the opposition. We are not the form side but just need to keep getting the wins until we come into form. Birmingham will be tough now after there win

I don't believe we do have pace....ff is not lightning quick...that's the style CC plays, a pass and move game with no plan B....or we do have a plan b but it's nuhiu who I can't believe is still making the bench.

What a fook we made against Brighton....they are losing 2-0 now and look as if they are hitting a dip in form

RE: Match Thread - Wigan v SWFC - Imre varadi - 05-02-2017

Brighton giving everyone hope ? or just Reading and huddersfield as 11 pts is way to much for us to make up !!!

RE: Match Thread - Wigan v SWFC - Imre varadi - 05-02-2017

Hudersfields manager showing again hes about as calm as the mad hatter !! this will be what will go against Huddersfield should they make the play offs !!

Brighton sneaked a point 2-2 !!

3-2 last minute brentford !!!

3-3 ffs !

leicester in dangerous waters ???

RE: Match Thread - Wigan v SWFC - St Charles Owl - 05-02-2017

There are two things that give me hope we can kick on from here like we did last season. First is we haven't played that well for ages and yet are on a very good run of results in the league (W6, D3, L2), performances matter but its results that count ultimately!! Secondly, we have consistently created chances every game, no matter how well we have played, but we don't take anywhere near enough of them. I am hoping that as long as we keep creating those chances, then Rhodes can get onto the end of one of them per game and improve our ratio of chances to goals!!

As I said in the OP, these 5 games - Wigan (W), Birmingham, Blackburn, Forest and Brentford are games we really need to win, don't really care if we scrape 1-0 wins like Friday but we need to be beating these teams if we want to go up. The top 2 are faltering a bit, we can close the gap on L**ds by winning our game in hand and the 4 teams in the playoffs are all taking points off each other, so 15 points from 15 would really help!!!!

Leicester look like a relegation team, no form, can't score and concede easily!!!
