RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Barnsley - Daffodils on the piano - 14-12-2016 We made hard work of that one, needs to spend big money in January for a couple of full backs,a midfielder that can play, tackle, shoot.Someone with pace and a striker that can xxxx strike.Joao won't score for us,too light weight.Fletch can't do it all on his own. The Dingles must spend all day practicing dives and set pieces and the fans must spend all day xxxx moaning, what a set of blinkered knobs.I bet they are still going on about the so called foul by Joao before the first goal and of course the sending off.To be honest we thought it was Hutch who was going, which would have been an injustice as it was a hard but fair tackle and he won the ball. All in all 3 points for us, but we have played a lot better in the past. I would say yes ![]() RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Barnsley - Southeyowl - 14-12-2016 Nuhiu has his uses! Take a look at the 2nd goal, there are 3 defenders trying to keep him rooted to the ground. This meant that no one picked up Hutchinson. Don't get me wrong, I don't want him to start, but when he comes on he occupies more than one defender. Toss up for M.O.M. last night, Hutchinson or Reach for me, with Westwood a close 3rd. RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Barnsley - Imre varadi - 14-12-2016 yep i noticed that palmer and pudil got skinned and nearly caused all sorts of problems for us yet again ! But i just cant see cc buying more fullbacks ![]() ![]() RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Barnsley - Statesideowl - 14-12-2016 With regards to our back four. are they under performing this season, or did they over perform last season? For me it's the latter, I think Hun Pudil and even Palmer enjoyed a rich vein which has since bled dry. Hard to say how much of the FF dummy spitting at the start of the season truly affected the squad. I do feel there's something happening regarding the players though. Why haven't we ever seen Emanuelsson? Abdi cost 4m yet there's nowhere to play him, but we can play two up front one of them being Nuhiu? Lots of questions really, I don't think the level of communication at the club is where it needs to be. who is in charge of recruitment? As I've said before I think we need a DOF to find Clubs for Mcgugan & Sougou, and to also run their thumb over possible signings. In the last 12 months how many players have we signed that now either play in the reserves or were forced out almost immediately? It has all cost us promotion this season.. The fault lays with DC all the way down to the players. There has definitely been some oversight. The fans have done their part, support the Club in record numbers.. what are we seeing in return?? RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Barnsley - Owlkev71 - 14-12-2016 CC has said this week that any signings are down to him, barring actual negotiations re contract/wages. A DOF has worked at some teams but not others, not quite sure who we could go for though, an ex player maybe? Steve Walsh did it for Leicester and looked what happened to them, he's now at Everton. RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Barnsley - Washington - 14-12-2016 Just got to watching the highlights from yesterday. We were definitely very lucky with both goals (makes a big change) and Westwood pulled off 3 good saves from their better chances to make sure it stayed at zero. That Kent kid looked good and he or someone similar should be someone we should sign to put on the wing. I'm now convinced that Nuhui was always a foot taller than all the other kids at school when he was growing up so never had to or learned to jump ..... now all the associated neurons have failed resulting in him heading the ball when it hits him like a 50 pence piece ( or for the older amongst us a threepence which has even more random opportunities). Do agree though that for some reason he manages to convince the opposites that he is capable and thus drags an extra defender away to allow our other current and limited threats to pass it around until the opportunity has gone ![]() RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Barnsley - St Charles Owl - 15-12-2016 BML Update No winners for score and scorer Thurnscoe won the attendance prediction Wereham and Jacko both get 1 ![]() Table is updated on the OP, new thread coming. |
