RE: RIP Hereford United - HerefordBull - 13-03-2024

Ah well, 2 important home games yield only 1 point. Only got one after a fight back from 1 . 3 down last night against Alfreton...........that's the play offs gone but in all honesty we're not good enough. Doh

On to the merry go round of the squad leaving at the end of the season and a new team being assembled for next year. Cannot see we'll ever make the National League. Confused

Oh dear. Never say never. Look to Luton for inspiration. Anything can happen in this game.

RE: RIP Hereford United - HerefordBull - 21-04-2024

Despite pushing the play off spots for much of the second half of the season, form fell away meaning that the Bulls finished 11th. Up till last week it was still mathematically possible to get sixth and a spot, but Boston won at Banbury which meant that the final game of the season became a dead rubber for Hereford.

This too was against Boston who needed to win to secure their own play off spot and duly ran out 0 . 2 winners and secured that sixth spot. This was despite 4000 + Hereford fans turning up to say goodbye to this team.........and await a new team for next season. Doh Having said that we have 2 players who have signed to stay for the start of next year including Alex Babos who is perhaps the best midfielder we have and takes a great free kick. Perhaps with more continuity we could push for promotion but like everything else in football nowadays it comes down to money..........anyone know any American film stars? Big Grin

Six games into the new season with another new team and so far we remain unbeaten with three wins and three draws. A good win at Brackley yesterday with a last minute winner. Hereford find themselves third in the table but it's all quite tight so will need to keep this form going.

There you go!!...........Typical Hereford losing 1 . 0 to Needham Market at home last night. Caddis probably trying to be too clever by changing the line up from last Saturday but still should have scored in the first half.........however we never really tested their keeper. NM also had a penalty in the second half after our back line switched off but it was saved!

Mind you Needham haven't managed to win at home this season but have now won 2 away.........playing at home isn't always easy!.........................

Hereford have also struggled at home this season having only won one game from 4 with 2 draws. Over 2500 turned out last night so Caddis better get the balance of the team right or they will dwindle away.

as ever, COYB

RE: RIP Hereford United - HerefordBull - 02-01-2025

Wheels have come off, yet again!!, over the festive period with a 2 . 1 loss away at Leamington yesterday following up a 3 . 0 loss at home to our rivals Kidderminster on Boxing Day in the local derby. Again we are hovering around the play off places but if we don't get anything from the South Shields trip then we will firmly be a mid table club.........they are having a similar season to us so could well be a draw.

No change here........ Confused

RE: RIP Hereford United - themaclad - 12-02-2026

Relegation-threatened National League North side Hereford FC have sacked boss Paul Caddis following Tuesday's 3-0 defeat by AFC Telford United.

The result stretched the Bulls' winless run in the league to six matches and left them next to bottom of the table, nine points from safety.

Caddis had been in charge at Edgar Street since the start of the 2023-24 season in the ex-Scotland, Swindon Town and Birmingham City defender's first managerial role.

He steered the club to an 11th-placed finish in his first season before finishing 10th last term, only missing out on the play-offs by a point.

"We would like to thank Paul for his hard work and commitment during his two and a half years as manager," chairman Chris Ammonds said in a statement., external

"Our performances in his first two seasons at the helm went a long way to helping to stabilise the club following a very difficult period, and he also played a key role in rebuilding the link between the club and supporters.

"I would also like to personally thank him for the way he has helped me – and the club – deal with some difficult off-field issues this season."

The wet winter has led to seven league matches at Edgar Street being postponed leaving the club "desperate" to complete their fixture list before the end of the campaign.

In his final interview as manager after Hereford's defeat against Telford, Caddis said the season had "not been good enough", was "unacceptable" and added that fans' criticism was "well deserved".

Caddis leaves Edgar Street with the Bulls in 23rd place but with between four and seven games in hand on the teams around them because of the postponements.

The club said an announcement on Caddis' replacement would be made "as soon as possible".
