RE: WBA 2017/18 January Transfer Window - drewks - 08-01-2018 Niasse linked - any good? http://readwestbrom.com/2018/01/08/west-brom-interested-signing-oumar-niasse-everton/ RE: WBA 2017/18 January Transfer Window - Beefy 1965 - 09-01-2018 (08-01-2018, 22:32)drewks Wrote: Niasse linked - any good? Only made 9 starts but has 6 goals Worth a risk i would say and he has pace, A gamble maybe but what we got to lose ? RE: WBA 2017/18 January Transfer Window - drewks - 09-01-2018 Today's the day. I just know it RE: WBA 2017/18 January Transfer Window - Foxman_WBA - 09-01-2018 https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/west-bromwich-albion/2018/01/09/west-brom-will-delve-into-loan-market-for-strikers-if-jonny-evans-stays/ What the hell! How are the likes of Stoke, Bournemouth & Watford able to as much as they do on players but we either have certain players on waaaaay too much or the money is going elsewhere. Greg is a waste of wages, Field is just as good! We probably have around £200k of wages sat on the medical table. Which is our own doing for allowing our squad to be so old and signing injury prone players. If we aren’t going to play Burke, get rid. If we are paying HRK more than £5 a week we are getting robbed. Our squad is so thin already is crazy and yet we are paying as much in terms of wages as anyone else. He has pace and finishing ability which we lack up front and his pace will be dangerous on the counter-attack. He could be the perfect strike partner for Rondon in a 4-4-2. T'would be a spiffing signing ![]() RE: WBA 2017/18 January Transfer Window - Beefy 1965 - 09-01-2018 I was hoping for a striker in before Brighton Its a must win six pointer ............. Can you imagine the after match debate if we dominate and again miss chance after chance ![]() RE: WBA 2017/18 January Transfer Window - drewks - 09-01-2018 Huge need for a goal scorer, but equally, someone to create from midfield. As said before, injuries, 'etc' have meant no Phillips, no Chadli, no Mozza.......we need someone in that role just as much, IMHO ![]() RE: WBA 2017/18 January Transfer Window - Salopbaggie - 10-01-2018 (08-01-2018, 19:17)drewks Wrote:(08-01-2018, 17:24)Foxman_WBA Wrote: Apparently weve bid €5m for a striker...... Not so sure Drewks, it does not make a whole lot of sense to me if the papers are to be believed. Why would we offer £5 million for a striker that has never been sold for more than 4.8 million euro throughout his career, his last transfer was for 1.6 million euro and the two transfers before that, were on a free. We would also be his 3rd club in two years, he was not good enough for mighty teams like Fulham and Wigan, who both gave him a shot, sounds like paper talk to me, if it isn't we need our heads looking. Which decent striker will come here, with the threat of relegation, if he can go to another Club (preferably in London, Cheshire, or South Coast)? His Agent will advise him to hang on a couple of weeks for another offer, then a salary auction. |
