His info - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/rodrigo-battaglia/profil/spieler/89297

He's a defensive midfielder so I suspect this "interest" stems from the Pulis era.

Can any one confirm ... just had a message on my fotmob app ..... before any smart Alex quips "I know I got a message .. that doesn't need confirming". It stated that Hegazi has joined Albion on a contract until 06/2022 for an undisclosed fee. Great news if true ???

Cancel above, another message Albion confirm permanent signing of Hegazi ..... Great signing bargain buy of last window .... well done albion

Great news. Fee thought to be £4.6M, what a bargain.

Best transfer in the premier this season by far..........................A bargain for such quality.

Don't do a Danny Dichio Ahmed, on fire whilst on loan then faded away once permanent deal signed Whistle

RE: WBA 2017/18 January Transfer Window - WBA-Josh - 18-12-2017

Great news. He was a great find in the summer and one of Tony Pulis' better signings.

Next we need a new right back and a goal scorer to play off Rondon in January.

Ahmed must have a lot of faith. He could get into most Prem teams, and yet he has put his trust in a Club who stand quite a chance of being relegated. That type of confidence will surely get through to the others in the same way that Pardew's 1/2 time teamtalk must have done yesterday.

West Brom have made an enquiry about the availability of Cameroon international Karl Toko Ekambi: http://goo.gl/aYjR3h

From the BBC
Evans turns down new contract.....

West Brom captain Jonny Evans could leave next month after the club failed to persuade the Northern Ireland defender to sign a new contract.

Evans has 18 months on his deal and it is understood he has no intention of extending his stay at the Hawthorns.

Manchester City, Arsenal and Leicester all expressed interest in the former Manchester United man in the summer.

The West Brom boss at the time, Tony Pulis, refused to do business because he did not have a replacement.

Regarding Evans, we'd be daft to not sell him this time for, say, £25m. With (is it?) 18 months left on his contract that'd surely be a good deal for us, assuming we can start putting more emphasis on attack and rely less on our star players being defenders.

Wouldn't bother me too much to see Evans go, I like Yacob. If it were £20m, I'd put all the money on forwards. I'd have Rodriguez at c/f (sharper around the box) and Rondon laying off him.
Another daft idea: Have 2 wingers, one inside the other to give pace and passes for Rod or Ron. Is that so daft Huh
