I get playing Pelupessy as it allows Bannan to drift around leaving Joey to cover, but it seemed that part way through the game Hector moved forward into the midfield holding role, Thorniley covered him at CH and Penney dropped deeper, thats when we should have replaced Pelupessy with Onomah and been more creative and forward thinking.
Lees is an old fashioned defender, he struggles playing out from the back when put under pressure and Boro did a good job of closing us down when we tried to play out from the back. He needs a captain alongside him, he hasn't become a bad defender, he is low on confidence but being captain has never suited him.

Penney was due a bad game, its what you get from 20 year olds. If we are going to persist with the youngsters we need to give them a game off every so often, unfortunately we don't have a lot of back up in certain positions to do that.

Thorniley ....5 Torn to pices by downing and it didnt help that Penney didnt get a touch of the ball for 45 minutes we saw the same against leeds Pudil should have played and it no disrespect to thorniley hes what we need but maybe as centerback with hector and not that has been lees

summary defence it was more or less solid in the first half apart from a few dawson flaps and lees looked like he had control and then in the second half it got turned due to the fact joss didnt want to gamble taking the shite thorniley or penney off and lees got exposed twice leaving dawson exposed twice who was at his flappable worst

Ayala should have been booked early for diving in the area. Then red for elbow. Then two more yellow card tackles, of which he finally only received one..
Some very dodgy officiating yet again.
Boro players constantly leaning in to Wednesday players and falling on to the ball... That pile of players at the end was a joke, never seen anything like it, with a player on his knees behind the line trying to push the pile back over the line.. They're a fkuking disgrace imo and got away with murder

as for the refs i didnt expect anything different when i saw darren bond was the 4th official yet agan wednesday didnt do there homework and were not wise as to what would happen
the difference aswell was the capatains one forever complaining and ours only worried about if he could make a 4yard pass or keep up with the pace i also think joss called it completly wrong down the left with downing not picking our exspieranced Pudil and when after 30 minutes you could see how shit it was and what would happen next he failed to change
hes backed Lees offcourse today but if he realy thinks this is the answer are in trouble bigtime we will not keep a clean sheet all season
hector thorniley pudil and baker when fit are good enough id like to see ogrady called up and given more time to progress but we have to buy a new right back and centerhalf as pudil is agaeing and lets face it Hector is playing good enough to play for a prem team next season
lees and palmer can still fetch money we should cash in striaght away because i dont see neither getting any better in our system

Having watched a replay of the Ayala/Fletcher incident, I don’t blame the ref for the non-decision. As they came together you can see a player get right into the line of sight of the ref just as Ayala lifts up his arm, no way the ref could see it. No excuses for the linesman on that side though, he should have clearly seen it and told the ref about it.

attendanceBlackburn beat leeds thats our playoff flert over with for a few months ! only one way we are going now and thats not upwards ! we will be 13th position after todays games and it will be concreted when we fail to get more than a point at loftus road next week ! then its another away game at Birmingham which is a toss of a coin as usual bringing us into november which im not looking forward too either !
