If that equaliser for the Newcies was deliberate I'll eat Bart Simpson's shorts

All change at the top.

Nowt wrong with the second one though. Maybe not our result of choice but the Brighton fans couldn't get out of the stadium quick enough when they went behind. We only need to catch one of these two and with a fan reaction like that, it could be Brighton.

Aye, keeps them both catchable. Plenty of time to win the title yet.

Ive been telling the lads in the pub for ages that Brighton & Newcastle are top 2 and to forget about automatic, so I must be the only one who isn't disappointed about last nights result.
However a win on Saturday will definitely put the cat amongst the pigeons and will most certainly have the Geordie Magpies in a bit of a flutter....but we would have to win otherwise forget it completely.

How far as a club have we come that we are seriously talking about automatic promotion?
I think we are nailed on for a play off place.....I'm just worried we might have peaked too early.
Our form is the best in the league....but how many times have we seen a team come from miles away to win the play offs.

No matter where we finish whether top 6 or not, play-off disappointment or not, the message from Deano will be like it was in League 1, we go again next season. What's the betting all those that threw their Believe T-shirt away at Old Trafford are looking on and going - "Oops, silly me". Top 10 as a target was and still is a great improvement from last season, however this fellow Wagner isn't setting a target. Just go out and play as well as you can in every game and he's happy, whether we get 3 points, 1 point or lose. I can live with that.
There's some out there on other forums looking at us and saying we get lucky. Well if that's the case, Wagner and Town get lucky for a reason.
“The one thing I've found out,” said Billy Sr., “is that the more I practice, the luckier I get.” In 1962 Gary Player tells an anecdote about his fellow golfer Jerry Barber in his book “Gary Player's Golf Secrets”.

Expectations my arse. If we don't win the cup and the league, I'm never coming again. Whistle
