Johansen looks like an enforcer. Exactly the type of player we have been crying out for.

Only 5 mins of YouTube, but I can't understand Fulham letting him go. Could have done with him last season.

When you say ‘enforcer’ Phil, do you mean a Claudio Yacob type ?
If so, quite agree with you.

I read this on another site and it made me smile. Another poster likened Johansen to the love child of Claudio Yacob and Mulumbu. Great, if true Big Grin.

Talking about ‘Love Child ‘ rumours are abound here in North Staffordshire that Saido has got three women currently expecting offspring. He went into the gents loo and the machine in there had the usual notice on it

‘Buy me and stop one - Buy two and be one jump ahead’

Sadly, Saido didn’t read the notice!

Yacob with pace and can score goals

I haven't seen much of Johansen, he's not someone I recall from the few times I watched Fulham last season.

From the write ups on him, I thought he was more of a luxury, creative midfielder.

However if he's a box to box type who can put a foot in, then he will be a very welcome addition.

The fact that both Johansen and Montero are eligible for the FA Cup is excellent too. They will give us a bit more attacking impetus for the Brighton game. Plus the fact we have 3 additional players in the squad means more can probably risk one or two more first team players and we might have a chance of progression.

I watched Fulham an ok amount last season and from what I remember Johansen was always effective in his role. McDonald played the holding role, Cairney was the main creative playmaker with most of the play going though him and Johansen was the all round player who would get up and down the pitch, keep the play moving, create chances and pitch in with goals. I think one of Fulham’s biggest mistakes in the summer was signing too many midfielders and changing that central 3.

I can imagine a midfield of Barry anchoring, Phillips on the right wing, Livermore and Johansen in the centre of midfield and Murphy on the left wing.

Barry
Phillips - Livermore - Johansen - Murphy
Gayle/Rodriguez

In matches where we should dominate, Barry can be taken out, Livermore can drop back and Harper or Morrison can come into the team or Phillips can move inside to play right centre.

Going to be interesting as we can only name 5 loans in a match day squad Confused

We have 6 so someone is not even going to be on the bench !!

Tosin , Holgate , Montero, Murphy ,Johansen, & Gayle..

I think Tosin would have to be in as defensive cover so one of the above will miss out completely Huh
