Well no other news. Hopefully something by the time I get up. Murphy is a good signing but wish we’d have got Barnes Back.

Would have to say, with the exception of losing Barnes which was out of our hands, it appears to be a decent window.

I think Johansen is a strange signing as we didn't really need anyone in this role, but we know he has quality at this level nonetheless.

Montero is left field signing, as he hasn't been featuring for Swansea regularly. However, a few years ago I thought he was one of the most devastating wingers in the Premier League, tearing the likes of Kyle Walker and César Azpilicueta a new one. If he's given that free role on the left, we could see him flourish and provide plenty for Gayle and Rodriguez. I honestly think Potter was tasked with freezing many of Swansea's higher earning players out on purpose too, so we can't necessarily read too much into the fact he hasn't been playing. Set up 2 goals after coming on against Blues in the week and still looks to have blistering pace.

Murphy is another who like Johansen, is proven at this level. Has pace and a good goal record. Different player to Barnes but provides a similar threat and is pretty much as good a replacement as we could hope for.

Would've liked a more defensive minded midfielder and I am a little gutted Barnes didn't return. But we do look reasonably well stocked for a good push now. As far as the division goes, we've probably done the best business.

I like the fact that all 3 of these players have got a point to prove - all have done it in a big way for their club but then fallen down the pecking order, mostly it seems because of a change of HC.
All are also attack minded creative players.
Time will tell whether they all gel here, but I remember being pretty much underwhelmed when we signed Harvey Barnes, thinking "... who?"!!

Seems to me that we're much better off at the end of the window than at the start.

..... oh, and all are under 34!
