RE: Hull vs WBA - Match Thread - WBA-Josh - 06-12-2014 Nice post Squirrel. ![]() Now onto more pressing matters. Will Varela start against the Villa? I personally think the Villa match is the best time to unleash the beast from the start given that it is a very important derby, his appearance from the start will give the Hawthorns a massive lift and his match fitness levels should now be at a good level after the 60 minutes that he has played in the past 2 matches. Ultimately though it comes down to how Irivine, his coaching staff and Varela feel but it will be a big bonus if he does start. RE: Hull vs WBA - Match Thread - Worldclassalbion - 06-12-2014 Squirrel. I echo Josh's comments. Thats a great post. I've had a few Jack Daniels and a kebab. The world is nearly ok again. We got ourselves a love in and the world is good. Haha Still not watching MOTD though RE: Hull vs WBA - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 07-12-2014 Got a jar of Bonks's on the go and watching The Walking Dead instead of MOTD. Terrifying how much a shambling horde of zombies resembles our midfield on the attack. RE: Hull vs WBA - Match Thread - Baggievicar - 07-12-2014 Thankfully the nursing home next door have put a stonking great Christmas tree in the window, so I can't see MOTD on their telly while I'm writing sermons. There have been seasons when I would have resented that. Now I think I'll send them a Christmas card to say thanks. BBB RE: Hull vs WBA - Match Thread - Salopbaggie - 07-12-2014 Genuinely just got back from doing two performances of a pantomime, so had to miss the game today. Reading the match report and the comments above sounds like you guys were at a pantomime as well. Irvine gone - oh no he hasn't RE: Hull vs WBA - Match Thread - drewks - 07-12-2014 Is there a time when a post quotes a post that quotes another quote ....and you forget where you started?? Well, onto the last 40 mins of the game which is all I saw......pardon me for being a lone voice but I didn't think we were anything like as bad as all the other posts suggest. That's it. ![]() RE: Hull vs WBA - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 07-12-2014 I suppose it depends what your yardstick is. Yes, I'll readily admit we've been far worse at times both this season and last season than we were today; this wasn't like Everton in September or Cardiff away last December. But at the same time, Hull were awful, and we were poor enough that we couldn't punish that at all. (To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if Hull fans were saying the same thing in reverse about us; it was just one of those games). The football is still tedious and toothless, and there are few if any signs of progress. I'd love to believe that we're on the first rung of a ladder and Irvine's taking us upward, but I just can't see the evidence for it right now. At the moment, I'd love someone at the club to just come out and talk about a long-term plan. If this conservative approach at the moment is just laying the groundwork to build an expansive, attacking side around soon (as you could argue Hodgson's organisation allowed Clarke to deliver that fantastic autumn in 2012), then fair enough; I could get behind that. But it feels like we've taken a step back without any idea of how to take the next two steps forward. RE: Hull vs WBA - Match Thread - Dingle-Dingle - 07-12-2014 Dear Oh Dear. Nuffing else to say.. That`s it .... It`s over. WORST Performance ever. DD ![]() ![]() |
