Being an ex coach of football players and sitting in the West Stand, that became very apparent after the 1st 30 mins of that match and that's ultimately down to the expertise of the sports scientists, in conjunction with Hibs management tem, setting their fitness regime accordingly so early in the season but conveniently overlooked as usual, as well as the disruptive Scott Allan fiasco that was deliberately manipulated by Rangers' officials to do just that - a real bunch of f###### heroes (I don't think!)

So, let's get this straight -
The 6-2 thrashing was down to the Hibs players' lack of fitness (caused by their sports scientist's expertise!) and a campaign by Rangers to force Hibs to sell Scott Allan to Celtic?
Wow.
Why didn't Hibs just keep Scott Allan if their intention wasn't to sell him all along? Blaming Rangers for a situation created entirely by Hibs displays a remarkable case of revisionism. It's almost like you want to believe it, so you do.

trus, why dont ye read what people say before ye reply tae them. naebody mentioned a campaign tae force scott allan tae celtic. there WAS a campaign by rangers tae unsettle him, the fact he signed for celtic was a curve ba' that naebody seen coming.and read again 07s comments aboot fitness and take them the same way they were written

When a footie club tells another rival footie club that they are categorically not selling to them, they normally f### off 'early doors' and leave it alone, together with their unacceptable 'pay in instalments' proposal! As for the fitness of players in the first game of the season, well I was sitting in the West Stand observing exactly what I've described (some of the match reports even called it a 'pre-season warm up match'!) and, by the way, that criticism was briefly discussed with Stubbs at the last Hibs AGM as well - he wasn't gonna walk away from the flak! I'll bet you were not even at ER Stadium to watch the full 90 mins of action! So boo to your meaningless wow opinion when you were not even @ ER!

Talking about facts - no there wasn't. They asked about his availability, and were encouraged to do so by the Hibs board. No financial offer was made to Hibs at any stage by Rangers, the whole 'installments' patter is hogwash - negotiations never got that far. It was only the media (because of Hibs' endless comments about it) that pushed the story ad infinitum.
Again, if Hibs didn't want to sell, why didn't they just keep him?

and you know they were encouraged to do so how exactly. i reiterate, there WAS a campaign tae unsettle him, and credit tae rangers, it worked, only no' how they expected it tae. they were told numerous times he widnae be sold tae our competitors but they just ignored it. and he wisnae. and naebody keeps an unsettled player. The Rangers board were encouraged to make a bid for Allan in the close season. Personally. By members of the Hibs board.
There was no campaign by Rangers to unsettle Allan. Hibs were desperate to get rid, and would have let Rangers speak to him towards the end of the window. Luckily to save their faces, Celtic came in with a derisory £250k and Robert was your father's brother.
That 250k probably ruined your season. Why on earth you didn't keep him and benefit from his talents,I'll never know. Nose cut off to spite face, it seems.
