RE: WBA vs Peterborough - FA Cup Fourth Round Match Thread - Slick_Footwork - 30-01-2016 I didn't go today and I'm glad - sounds terrible. Although, looking at the team sheet, it's no big surprise. We played with a 4 in midfield that included Gardner and McClean who are lower league players. That's a lot on the shoulders of Yacob who has never really looked mobile enough to play in a 4. We can slate the manager but with Fletcher, Mozza and Brunt out, it's clear our squad isn't good enough. I do blame Tony for signing and sticking with McClean who I think is absolutely dross, but at the moment we don't have any other options. Sandro is a good acquisition but we really need 3 or 4 more. As for Pocognoli, I was never convinced by him under Irvine and by the sounds of it, he was pretty poor today. With the current personnel, I think we're in for a very long second half of the season. I just hope that we can bring a few more in. RE: WBA vs Peterborough - FA Cup Fourth Round Match Thread - RainbowTurnedEastStand - 30-01-2016 Don't blame Pulis lately as he`s had 3 of his best players out injured . Now that we`ve managed to ship Gnabry back to Arsenal its time for Jeremy Peace to back his manager and bring in Matt Phillips who we`re crying for. Firstly, calling me a pillock is a sign I've touched a nerve. Sorry for that. I'll have to bear it in mind not to hurt your feelings when I post next time ![]() Cast your memory back to your post in the Sandro thread, let me quote you "What an inspirational signing.... TP my hero...!" So that post isn't trashing Sandro? No need to twist your comments at all, seems clear as day that you're writing the bloke off before he's kicked a ball. RE: WBA vs Peterborough - FA Cup Fourth Round Match Thread - BaggieMan - 30-01-2016 Looking on the BBC Sports website at a clip of the highlights of the game, Peterborough took their goals brilliantly. Defending was crap mind. Tibby, Tibby, Tibby.... You are at it again ! Did I call you. 'Pillock' ? You're twisting words again. I said not to turn into a 'Pillock' not that you were one. ![]() So, my saying 'inspirational signing' is translated into trashing Sandra is it ? Very strange interpretation Tibby - my criticism was levelled at the club for signing a defensive player and not the attacking player we need. Other than that, please tell me the words that I used to trash Sandra. If you are honest, I dont think you will find any other than in your imagination. PS: Tibby, it would take an awful lot more than that to touch one of my nerves ! ![]() RE: WBA vs Peterborough - FA Cup Fourth Round Match Thread - DanTheSmethwickMan - 30-01-2016 Who's this Sandra? We signed a woman?? ![]() RE: WBA vs Peterborough - FA Cup Fourth Round Match Thread - BaggieMan - 30-01-2016 PPS: Just as a matter of interest Tibby, are you a season ticket holder and if so, where do you sit? If you are, maybe meet up for a pre-match beer sometime. RE: WBA vs Peterborough - FA Cup Fourth Round Match Thread - betterthanbaird - 30-01-2016 Tuesday 9th February is the replay btw RE: WBA vs Peterborough - FA Cup Fourth Round Match Thread - BaggieMan - 30-01-2016 (30-01-2016, 21:17)DanTheSmethwickMan Wrote: Who's this Sandra? Not particularly a strange interpretation at all, and other replies you've received from other posters questioning your criticism of the signing also seem to be of the same train of thought as me. The bloke hasn't kicked a ball for us yet, I will reserve judgement until he's done so, otherwise it's writing him off too soon. Sadly not a STH anymore due to work related responsibilities but I do make it to as many home games as I can. I generally aim to get tickets for the Smethwick as it's the most atmospheric stand by a long way, but I do pop down the BRE for some peace and quiet occasionally too haha. Should have a SportsBabble get-together in general in the fanzone one of the games for everyone on here at some point. ![]() RE: WBA vs Peterborough - FA Cup Fourth Round Match Thread - Borders Baggie - 30-01-2016 Sky Sports Top Stories:- Peterborough come from 2 goals down to draw 2-2 at West Brom. What game were they watching. Don't make it any worse than it was!! |
