Looks like we are close to a deal with celtic according to the bbc, 400k +mcgeouch and henderson. I think it's not too bad a deal.

Let's hope it's done quickly and not drawn out we need to get back to 100% concentration ASAP two good players coming in but would have loved LG back but that was never gonna happen

Not sure this is the right move for Allan, if he is happy with sitting on the bench or reserve team football then fine and I suppose being paid 8k a week to do just that will make it more palatable but imo he would have been better staying at Hibs or going to a team where he will get first team football every wee.
It looks on the surface a good deal for Hibs though, they lose a good player but one that appeared to be disgruntled or at least affected by all the speculation and get a couple of decent players coming in plus cash. I suppose this is just another example of Celtic buying the best players from other Scottish teams, although for now not a rival team.

If this deal goes through Scott Allan will join a long list of players that Celtic have bought from Hibs in the hope of finding a gem. The one who stands out over the last 5 or 6 years is Scott Brown who has repaid the transfer fee many times over.
We were all happy that he would be staying and looked forward to a successful season with the possibility of challenging Rangers for the title but once again when Rod gets the smell of money in his nostrils our willpower disappears.
I have a feeling that Celtic made their bid more in an effort to get one over on Rangers than a serious move to strengthen their team for the SPFL and the Champions League. Time will tell but I don`t see Allan being a regular 1st team player -if he eventually goes.

I couldn't care if its a good move for allan or not, he worked his ticket out of hibs and it's his choice once a club agreed a fee with us. We are picking up a decent amount that allows us to improve the squad plus we get 2 decent celtic fringe players,one who did well for us last season.
I dinnae think scott will walk into that celtic side by any means,but they do seem to rotate their midfield a lot so he will get a chance. No way are they spending that kind of money to simply put one over on rangers. That would be ludicrous.... but very,very funny. So fair play if thats the case.
I did think stubbsy was dying to scream out 'GIRFUY sevco' at the press conference today though. LOL

I'd luv to take a straw poll of Hibs fans' views re that very subject and I'd bet close to 100% would be delighted in Hibs doing this and subsequently telling Rangers and their antagonistic media hangers-on (and others with something negative to utter or write!!) where to go!!!

I've always said that there is no way that Scott Allan should be sold to Rangers, one of our main rivals for promotion. I also said that he'd only be a bench warmer at Celtic, but a big wage might convince him to put up with that. He has a family to look after and they should be his priority. The rumoured deal sounds good to me and will suit Hibs, but will it suit him?

For me I'm sick to the back teeth with the Scott Allan scenario if Celtic are prepared to give money plus a player and another loan player I hope Scott Allan goes nobody is bigger than any club.
And if it takes that smug look off Warburtons face all the better the guys a prick he's always banging on he's innocent and it's nothing to do wi him xxxx off pal and grow a pair o baws.
I just want my club sorted this has went on to long now time to put it to bed and move on

Warburton used to work in the city,you must ken that? Hes been every bit as arrogant towards his opponents just minus any fallout in the press.
Looks like Allans having his medical this morning prior to signing. Good luck to him. Personally I'm excited about our potential midfield with mcginn and Henderson. Well played to the board and stubbsy for refusing to bend to rangers and their press poodles intimidation.

Aye if The lion king had brought out the supposed cash he has I think Allan would've been a rangers player however his we'll overspend to get what we require is bullshit served by a silver spoon to the Buy in brigade in Govan.
