Ashia and Alves need to start on Saturday.

Ashia couldn't trap or control a bag of wet sand with his first touch for most of last night. Good job that he didn't need two touches to score at the end.
Agree on Alves.

W/C 9th February

Swindon Town Football Club has been charged with two alleged breaches of EFL Regulations and EFL Trophy Rules. The charges relate to the Club fielding two ineligible players against Luton Town in the Vertu Trophy Round of 16 tie on 13 January 2026. Swindon Town won the game 2-1.
That's why both clubs are in the draw.

The tie between Swindon Town and Luton Town in the EFL Trophy (Vertu Trophy) has been decided:
  • Match Result: Swindon Town originally won the Round of 16 match 2–1 at Kenilworth Road on 13 January 2026.

  • Disciplinary Ruling: Following the match, Swindon was charged with fielding two ineligible players (Oliver Clarke and Aaron Drinan). An independent disciplinary commission met in late January to decide whether to expel Swindon from the competition.

  • Final Decision: On 30 January 2026, it was confirmed that Swindon Town will remain in the competition. They were issued a £1,000 fine and a warning, rather than being disqualified, meaning Luton Town will not be reinstated.

  • As a result, Swindon Town advanced to the Quarter-Finals, where they are scheduled to face Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday, 10 February 2026.
