Whatever Liz Truss says at Conference, in Cabinet, at the Despatch Box, in Press interviews or under a desk JUST DON'T BELIEVE HER. It really is that simple.

She is the latest in a long line of bare-faced, shameless liars in the Tory Party.

Beware Hunt he is a dangerous man who is hated by basically everyone, probably should be an election but as he is now in control, he won't be giving up power, no one has even bothered to comment on the reversal of the tax rises which now gives us a longer recession whereas the tax cuts only a smaller recession.
An his views on lockdown mean he should be nowhere near a top post

BREAKING NEWS - it comes to pass that Liz Truss has the shortest reign in history as PM - she has unsurprisingly resigned!! The Tories now choosing a new leader within the next seven days lol Laugh Looks like Sunak will have a free ride into 10 Downing Street although I don't dismiss the "R" word when it comes to Tories choosing idiots, sorry - new applicants as a unifying (that's a laugh eh!) leader. Lizzy professing she couldn't deliver her mandate just "beggars belief" btw - a shambles and we're looking at the third PM of the year!! There should be a general election called, but there won't be one!!

0762

You are right they won't call one, they have got what they have wanted since the cake story broke, one thing shortest PM reign ever but with two monarchs

Boris expected to run

Anyone hoping to snap up one of the £14.99 Liz Truss mugs branded with “In Liz We Truss” from the Tory party’s official shop will be disappointed. They’ve been pulled in the wake of the prime minister’s resignation. Angry Angry Angry

Just resurrect a previous one. Hope I'm wrong. Whistle

Remember some of the words in the previous OP - "...the nightmare begins...."!!! How accurate that prediction was ONLY IT WAS WORSE THAN WE COULD'VE EVER IMAGINED!! The words "laughing-stock" must be reverberating throughout the world although we had already attained that denigration of any reputable national status long before now.

Just under 50% declared
Approx figures

Sunak 85
Johnson 70

Mordaunt 30

Scenario Sunak wins they get hammered at the next election, Johnson wins they don't

The vote if more than two candidates goes to the members game over for Rishi. Boris wins suspect several will leave the party and spend the time until the next election as Indpendent, then will end up getting deselected by their constituencies

Personal take, I think we can hazard a guess as to who it will be but there may be deals to be done behind the scenes, we will see what occurs

The Tories, or at least those that vote, either in Parliament or in elections, should be renamed the Alzheimer's Party.

If their short term memory loss is so poor that they can't recall why they got rid of the lying, bone-idle, philandering oaf in the first place (less than 3 months ago) with a bit of luck they'll have also forgotten how to vote come the next election.
