THE 2014/15 FA CUP CAMPAIGN - Maddix - 05-12-2014

This'll be a short lived thread then Laugh

I thought I'd set up a thread to gossip about this seasons FA Cup Cool who we'd like to draw, should we bother, do we want a big club after the big dip in form when we lost the 2nd half at Citeh, is a cup run good for us, is it the moneyspinner we think etc

We are ball 34 in the 3rd round draw which takes place on Monday 8th of December at 19:00 GMT Thumb up at some bloody aquarium in Hull Confused ...... at least we can say the draw was a bit fishy when Liverpool get drawn at home to the lowest ranked team for a change Laugh

The blunts earned over 1m for getting to the semi final last season and they had a nice trip to Wembley as well!!! But they didn't get promoted!!

I for one would like to see us get a couple of home ties in the 3rd and 4th rounds to make a bit of money as well as the boost of winning games. After that its a toss up between a fixture pile up and a bit of glory but as long as we are safe in mid table then I would take a nice cup run!!

Blyth Spartans at Home! We are number 34 in the hat!

Really want to go to the Emirates, so Arsenal away would be my ideal third round! get out early and concentrate on the league!

I fancy a shit team like Blyth, Cambridge or Plymouth Whistle at home

SG showed with the CHarlton cup tie last season that he is not a man for the big occasion so probably best that we get drawn away Watford in R3 & lose 1-0.

We'll end up getting humiliated by Gateshead on national TV  Doh

or maybe not Whistle it is the 3rd round so Liverpool or Man Ure will be on Angry

RE: THE 2014/15 FA CUP CAMPAIGN - St Charles Owl - 08-12-2014

So who do we want in the draw??

For me I would like to see us have a decent run in the Cup for a change. Last season showed promise until we bottled it against Charlton but its time for us to get through a few rounds. Obviously to maximize income I would prefer home draws but our home form is not that great, so maybe an away tie would be better?? If we are to get a prem team though, I want it at home, I want a full Hillsborough with a great atmosphere and a chance to win, don't need a repeat of the Citeh game!!!

Am I right in thinking the draw is live on tv?? Anybody planning on watching it live?
