The Owls v QPR SBC Match Thread - Owlkev71 - 01-05-2019 THE MATCH SUNDAY 5TH MAY 12:30PM KICK OFF ![]() ![]() [b]LAST MATCH So the last away fixture turned into quite a game. A rather forgettable first half, described as "AWFUL" by SB, saw us 2-0 down after some poor defending and questionable goalkeeping. A "RANT" at halftime seemed to do the trick as we pulled on back with a nice finish finish from Bannan. We then gave them them back there 2 goal lead through more poor defending this time by Iorfa let Browne score, although it was a good finish. All looked lost again before Fessi & Nuhiu scored with 2 headers about 2 minutes apart, to level things up. Iorfa then saw red for a stupid challenge. We still looked for the winner with Joao, Palmer & Nuhiu having chances, but the game ended in a fair 3-3 draw. THE MATCH Our final home match & game of the season sees us entertain QPR. QPR have tailed off somewhat and now lie 19th in the table and have lost there last 3 games. This lot beat us fairly easily back in October, 3-0 when Dross was in charge. This was our starting line-up that day: Dawson, Baker, Hector, Pudil, Fox, Pelupessy, Bannan, Reach, Onomah, Nuhiu, Joao SUBS: Palmer, Lees, Fletcher, Penney, Thorniley, Kirby, Wildsmith, where did all those kids go ![]() CURRENT FORM OWLS - ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() QPR - ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() THE BASTARD IN THE BLACK ANDY DAVIES Assistants: Nigel Lugg and Daniel Leach Fourth Official : Anthony Backhouse THE TEAM Looks like Wildsmith might get the start. Iorfa is banned, Reach is out, Aarons doubtful. Will he give any of the youngsters a try in a meaningless game? Will Lee get another run-out? Which 2 start up top? I'll check ! Flipped flops and sunglasses out ! Go for it and just entertain ...highest we can finish now is 9th. Not bad to say the state we where in when dross was still here ! Pigs are doing my head in already ..the plan to fly a plane over the ground taking the piss more on Saturday ! Fantastic great for Sheffield eh pieblade ? But we've brought all this on ourselfs wanting a nice day out 2 seasons back ! Looking forward to next season though as there will be many Sheffield doubles in the correct form how it should be ! We win they lose ! And I firmly believe Bruce will take us up either automatic or via the playoffs ! Swansea losing so as it stands 9th up for grabs in our own hands ! An extra 50 grand to filter away I suppose ! RE: The Owls v QPR SBC Match Thread - Statesideowl - 02-05-2019 Nice one, Kev. We would have to agree a fee with Chelsea but he has been magnificent, the club’s Player of the Season. So yes, we would like to keep him at the club SB: Keiren Westwood’s knee is still a slight problem and we will have a chat with him today. We hope he has not played his final game for the club, I have offered him a contract SB: The difficult decisions are to come and you have to meet them head on Re: The QPR game SB: Lazaar won’t make it and Josh Onomah is a doubt but everyone else is okay |
