Bolton vs WBA - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 18-01-2019

It already seems half a lifetime since Bolton showed up at the Hawthorns on a sunny August day and began the season by giving us a bloody nose that seemed an ominous sign of things to come. Thankfully, things have improved since, and we have the chance to repay the favour on Monday night in Lancashire.

Last outing against Norwich was a heartening performance in difficult circumstances which nevertheless ended up feeling like two points dropped after the Canaries pinched a late equaliser. Still plenty of time left in the season, and time to shuffle the jigsaw - hopefully even to add a couple of new pieces - but for the time being, we could do with a win to give us a boost.

bad feeling about this Were not too good at getting results off
teams doing badly :/

Plus is anybody else as concerned as I am of losing barnes? He's been our best player many many times
and those are big boots to fill

Norwich currently 3-1 up against Blues. As it stands they go 6 points clear of us.

Norwich won 3-1. Pressure on Monday now for us to keep up.

Leeds lose, Boro draw and Derby win.

Leeds - 54
Norwich - 53
Sheffield Utd - 50
WBA - 47
Boro - 47
Derby - 46
Bristol City - 44

Our play-off position is not looking as toasty now as it was a couple of weeks ago.

Josh, a win on Monday puts us four off top and six above seventh ...... I would take that just now.

Swansea beat Sheffield United 1-0. If we can resist the temptation to pull an Albion and xxxx up on Monday, we can go level with Sheffield Utd with a win and then be back in the hunt for top 2.

Leeds are currently in a Bielsa wobble so we need to put the pressure on them and Norwich.

If Phillips and Morrison are back I’d be looking at the following team:

Johnstone
Holgate - Dawson - Hegazi - Gibbs
Phillips - Harper - Barry - Morrison
Gayle - Rodriguez

No Phillips
No Morrison
But Kanu is in ????

RE: Bolton vs WBA - Match Thread - WBA-Josh - 21-01-2019

Unchanged 11.

Phillips still out injured it seems and Morrison was doubtful. Neither are on the bench.

Why did we actually offer Mozza another contract Whistle
Sad to see Philips missing out again
Please play Gayle through the center.
That said we should have enough hope that don't get caught up in all the protesting the Bolton fans seem to be doing against there owner !
