Dick Sheppard keeps Leicester at bay as Albion come from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Filbert Street, 23rd March 1968
We need a win. That's the thankless, daunting situation on Planet Albion as we enter a cramped October fixture schedule which sees us playing back to back away games before hosting Manchester City at home. Blowing two points against Watford now leaves us winless for the last two months, and playing for 0-0s in the upcoming fixtures isn't going to cut it.
We can take some comfort from the fact that we were in more or less the same boat when we visited the King Power Stadium last autumn and delivered a hugely entertaining performance which resulted in three sorely-needed points. Hopefully, if we approach Monday night's encounter in the same way as we did the first half at the Emirates - only this time with an official who didn't do his training at the Stevie Wonder Academy of Refereeing Excellence - we can do the same again.

I was at that game in Ska'd's photo('68). 2-0 down at halftime, most of us stayed in the Bar, miserable, coming the week after we'd lost 6-2 at home to Everton. Then we heard the Albion had pulled one back, and it lifted us. We felt invinceable after that game, which drove us through to Wembley that year.
I'll be happy with a draw on Monday.

I wasn’t at the Filbert Street game but I do remember getting whupped 2-6 at Home to Everton. Crowd weren’t at all happy and jeered the players throughout the second half.

Hate to be cynical, but he doesn't kick a ball for us, is absolutely fine for Belgium, and now needs an injection. Hmm.

I don't think it's some machiavellian-esque plot to keep him out of the side. But let's be honest, the bloke didn't want to get himself in shape in pre-season despite the entirety of the squad all going to Austria (as did many other Premier League sides, Altitude training seems to be catching on with most sides now) so it's safe to say he's blotted his copy book with Pulis and there's only one end result there.
However, I do have hope that all is not lost as someone I know who claims to have an "in the know" source has heard that the relationship is being repaired and Chadli will feature again soon. We do sorely need his reintroduction in my opinion and I'd swap him for Rodriguez in a heartbeat, he was poor against Watford and has really struggled on the whole since he signed other than Accrington Stanley away with a goal there.
We need to play Nacer in behind the striker if he does feature again soon, though. Completely wasted out on the wing.

Only on three occasions have I visited the old Filbert Street. My very first game of pro football was way back when Leicester played Cardiff City; I was probably about 12 years old and staying on a relatives farm near Hinckley and my Uncle kindly took me and my cousin to the game.
My second visit was an FA cup 5th Round tie in 1960 and we lost 1-2?. Our goalkeeper had a 'mare' that day.
Later 1964, I think, I was there to watch the Albion play. We lost but, a very important player made his debut that night.
Give you a clue; we bought him from Notts County.
