The Owls v Chesterfield Match Thread Carabao Cup - Owlkev71 - 07-08-2017

THE MATCH

We start our Carabao Cup (League Cup to us normal people) campaign against our near neighbour's from 20 miles down the road, Chesterfield. They also made a bad start to their league campaign losing 1-3 at home to Grimsby Town, so will be looking to put in a better performance against us. Only player we will recognize is Chris O'Grady who did score the winner against the Blades back in out promotion year Thumb up . We will be looking to bounce back of course after our opening day defeat

LAST MATCH

Yes, it may not have been a penalty, but the performance was an absolute shocker. CC sticking to his favourite 442 and the players looking lost and running around like headless chickens and apparently not allowed to attack anymore.

I can put my on my heart and say i want us to lose this one for two reasons one  for CC hopefully to get the sack Thumb down and the other becuase this cup is only for the nearly rans in the top 10 of the premiership and as soon as round 3 comes around we will go out anyway and more so now as we dont play with spirit anymore Thumb down

a waste of space this game youngsters should be given time they wont Thumb down what could be a positive is it could give Hutch Lee and Abdi more game time and a chance to catch up with the pace ?

So a nailed on win here we come Doh

3-1 Fox

Well going by his press conference we will be seeing the first team getting another outing tomorrow night and take the game very seriously.

CC: We have strong competition in attack, its a shame we don't attack anymore to utilize our strong attacking threat.

I would be really really surprised if we manage to beat you. Last time we beat you at Hillsborough was 41 years ago. I reckon it will be 3-1.

But we are one dimensional shite now. I could train a Sunday morning pub team to beat this shower of shit and I'd still let my team have a pint and a fag at half time Cool

With the current rigid 4-4-2 the dustbins are probably winning at least 1-0 in the training sessions Whistle Whistle
