Well the two signings so far, Brown and Kakay might turn out to be eye-candy for the paedophiles, but they can't be what I've waited until deadline day to see. Can they?

Surely in our position we are going to sign a proper player or even two?

I didn't have expectations though, and so far I have to say we've met them.

With Ariyibi gone there has to more incoming or else it looks like Blue will be shivering wreck.

Im hearing two more to come in and I will not be making a judgement on any incomings until I have seen them play.
I also think O Neill and Liddle were two of the worst players weve had for a few years so happy to see them go .'

I stay offline nearly all day and I found out we lost 2 players and signed 4 players on loan.

Can't say I could see much option to Gboly going at some point ....... and he hasn't scored this season, and in my opinion a wide man who never scores is simply no danger. He has to start scoring to be a Championship player.

O'Neil has worked his way back home. Started at Histon, went to West Brom, then Chesterfield, now back home to Cambridge. He obviously got one of those difficult to calculate train deals - clever of him really.

The fact that the lad from Birmingham was getting games under Gary Rowett and isn't now they are losing every week is a decent recommendation. But the others are boys who are unknown quantities. We've got rid of three youngish men, who had no long-term future with us (and one old bloke no one liked) and we have replaced them with four boys. They will have to be both decent players and have a combative attitude to keep us up. On the face of it the strategy looks like one our rivals will be applauding. I think you get out of trouble by togetherness and an influx baby loanees doesn't seem to hit that mark.

To be honest I wouldn't mind that much going down with a team bristling with young players IF they were our young players like Maguire, German, Beesley, Hand, Wakefield, Ofoegbu, Morrison ........... because at least they'd be on the road to becoming the basis of our next team. Unfortunately if Mr Caldwell's strategy fails we'll be in Division Two and we'll be almost starting from scratch.

There's whole lot riding on Saturday - please don't let Tope Obadeyi score for Oldham. I'm sure the town's not ready for another Poochstreak.

I certainly wont be blaming Caldwell if this window doesn't improve us ,he has only been here 5 minutes .I will judge him in the summer just like I did with Wilson and Cook in their first summer window.Caldwell will have a lot of leeway with so many out of contract and I'm expecting a vastly different team next season.

Theres a rumour Dan Jones may be available on Sat. If that's correct and he plays that could just make the difference.
Am not enamored by the loan signings and can see them being peripheral to our play off push. Lets wait and see though.

Dan Jones? To play on Saturday after all this time out? Get the air ambulance on standby!

The fact Mr Caldwell didn't sign us a single player on a contract suggests to me that loans were all he was allowed.

I thought loans were supposed to be more difficult to do this season, what happened to that?

Saturday will tell us a lot. Maybe Mr Caldwell has cards up his sleeve and a rabbit in the kitbag. Unfortunately, at the risk of sounding like George Osborne, I think the odds against our survival are bound to lengthen after this window's dealings.
