Match Thread - Blackburn v SWFC - St Charles Owl - 26-09-2016

THE MATCH - TUESDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER 2016 at 7.45PM BST

Back on the road again a place where we need to improve our results if we are to challenge near the top, and this is a ground where on current form we should be looking to take all three points!! Blackburn have struggled so far this season, winning only 2 games so far, although their win at Derby was a surprise on Saturday!! They can score goals, 12 so far but they concede at a rapid rate as well having let in 18, 3rd worse in the division, so on that basis there should be goals in this one!! After failing to win any of their opening 7 games, they have won their last 2 games, both in games against other teams near the bottom.

This will be the 149th meeting between us with our record being very even at W56 D38 L54. Our away record is not great at W19, D21, L38 but we are unbeaten in the last 3 games at Ewood Park. Last season saw us draw 2-2 there, coming from behind twice with goals from Sougou and Joao earning the point. Here is the video of that game:

THE LAST MATCH

Story of our season yet again, play well but don't score, concede a soft goal against the run of play, struggle for 30 mins after goal, get back into it and finally score a very late winner!!! Its certainly ends on an exciting note but it ain't no good for the old ticker!!!! On his 150th game for us Lee pops up with 2 precious goals to give us the three points in a game we deserved to win but were still unconvincing in the process!! Its time we truly played to our potential and scored early, a combination that has been missing so far this season!! Seems CC will play 442 in the first half no matter what, so I expect that to continue!!

WHO'S IN AND WHO'S OUT

Bannan and Lees went off with injuries, so will be interesting to see if they are fit for this one. I would expect Loovens to replace Lees and Abdi or Jones to replace Bannan. Aside from that the team should be unchanged. Here is my team:
