Hibs v Alloa Athletic - 21/02/16 - ritchiebaby - 18-02-2016 After the drama and triumph of last night, Hibs welcome Alloa to Easter Road on Sunday afternoon. The match kicks off at 1.30pm thanks to Sky Sports. As I don't subscribe to Sky, I'm planning to be up for this one. As previously mentioned, all Hibs Championship games are important and a game against the bottom club is no different. Alloa can be tricky opponents and it took a late goal from Rangers to rescue a point against them last weekend, so be prepared for a bit of a slog. Despite all the hoo-hah about Alloa's artificial pitch, their 3 wins this season have all come away from home - against Dumbarton, Livingston and Raith Rovers. They have lost an average 2 goals per game, and Hibs have scored 4 against them without loss in their 2 games so far. The win is far more important than anything else, but scoring a few goals won't do us any harm. GGTTH RE: Hibs v Alloa Athletic - 21/02/16 - hibeejim21 - 18-02-2016 I expect the side to feel the effects of that cup game, any kind of win is a must. RE: Hibs v Alloa Athletic - 21/02/16 - torquayhibby - 18-02-2016 we just have to win, last minute goal as long as we get 3 points.GGTTH RE: Hibs v Alloa Athletic - 21/02/16 - 0762 - 18-02-2016 Alloa won't be able to reduce the size of the ER pitch as they've recently done to their own pitch and to the chagrin of the 'bread man'. That tells me that they wanna get closer to the opposition goal territory and that aint gonna happen on a vast ER pitch that certainly looked in good condition on Tuesday night. I'll predict a comfortable 3-0 win and hopefully Stokesy will play well in this match and about time too - I'm running out of patience!! RE: Hibs v Alloa Athletic - 21/02/16 - ritchiebaby - 18-02-2016 Right enough, 0762, he should have got himself bedded in by now. Hibs have already shown that these Premiership players are not all they're cracked up to be. As long as they keep him away from taking free-kicks, I'll put up with him for another week or so. RE: Hibs v Alloa Athletic - 21/02/16 - hibeejim21 - 18-02-2016 I thought stokes did ok the other night, and i think he will be back among the goals shortly...hopefully v alloa. RE: Hibs v Alloa Athletic - 21/02/16 - 0762 - 19-02-2016 I think he's being played in the wrong role - should be a spearhead striker! He does a lotta work off the ball but not been effective enough. When he took over Jason's role v Hearts in the final quarter he set up Keatings in the dying secs with a wonderful through pass, just left of the Hearts pen spot, and how Keatings missed the wide open Hearts net is beyond me! I could've had a cup of tea + a touch of keepy uppy and still bury the shot past Alexander rather than past Hearts LH post. Was that a deliberate miss or what? RE: Hibs v Alloa Athletic - 21/02/16 - hibeejim21 - 19-02-2016 waghorn (pen) out for weeks apparently... I wonder who will take over designated diver duties for 5088 FC ? RE: Hibs v Alloa Athletic - 21/02/16 - torquayhibby - 19-02-2016 No need to worry about o,Halloran he was keek against us RE: Hibs v Alloa Athletic - 21/02/16 - hibeejim21 - 19-02-2016 (19-02-2016, 15:16)torquayhibby Wrote: No need to worry about o,Halloran he was keek against us I wouldn't play him through the middle but warbiola might have to now. |
