RE: Team to play Arsenal - BaggieMan - 13-11-2015 Interesting article (apologies if link has already been posted) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3311551/Tony-Pulis-defensive-tactics-Old-Trafford-saddened-never-relegated-West-Brom-fans-deserve-more.html RE: Team to play Arsenal - silverbaggie - 13-11-2015 (12-11-2015, 17:54)RainbowTurnedEastStand Wrote: 5-3-1-1: MYHILL, DAWSON, CHESTER, OLSSON, EVANS, BRUNT, FLETCHER, YACOB, MORRISON, SESSEGNON, BERAHINO. I think Brunty is injured' he is definitely out of Northern Ireland's team for the friendly game. Once you've lost that reputation for playing exciting football you don't get it back - ever. West Ham fans had that bit of pride, but they get laughed at now following Big Sam's reign. Pulis has buried our reputation in less than 12 months, and we're now a laughing stock. Jeremy should have realised this at last year's job interview. I'd rather be playing football the right way in the Championship. That would mean that the so called 'big four' of West Midlands football would all be in the Championship at the same time. I wonder if that has ever happened before (including the old First Division). Where are the football historians to answer that one.???? ![]() RE: Team to play Arsenal - talkSAFT - 14-11-2015 (14-11-2015, 11:24)silverbaggie Wrote: The only consolation is that the Vile will probably be joining us. Silver, I just looked it up: 1987-88 Vile won promotion to the 1st (top) Division, runnersup to Millwall (!) Blues (19th) and Albion (20th) just avoided relegation from Division 2. Walsall got promotion from Division 3. D1ngle5 (bless 'em) won a major honour, Champions of Division 4. RE: Team to play Arsenal - Dingle-Dingle - 15-11-2015 Any formation you like....... As long as it`s 1-0 to the ALBION. DD ![]() ![]() RE: Team to play Arsenal - RainbowTurnedEastStand - 15-11-2015 Our problem at the momet is the lack of pace in full back area`s so surely we could try Gamboa and Pocognoli in a wing back sort of system? Myhill, Gamboa, Chester, Olsson, Evans, Pocognoli, Yacob, Morrison, Sessegnon, McManaman, Rondon. These 4 are letting us down at the moment ie Dawson, Brunt, Fletcher, and McClean. RE: Team to play Arsenal - Baggievicar - 15-11-2015 Gamboa just scored the only goal in a world cup qualifier. Pretty impressive for a bloke who's barely stepped on a pitch for the past year. Doesn't mean he can defend, mind you. RE: Team to play Arsenal - RainbowTurnedEastStand - 15-11-2015 When we`re conceding 3 goals a game at home with Dawson and Brunt at full back I find it strange that the likes of Gamboa and Pocognoli cant get a chance as I doubt they could do any worse. |
