alan stubbs - hibeejim21 - 12-11-2015 The boss is being linked with more and more jobs now, especially in the championship. I fear we might lose him before the season is out. Hopefully he will stick around to take us up. RE: alan stubbs - ritchiebaby - 12-11-2015 It's bound to happen, jim, because he's certainly good enough for the English Championship. Hopefully he'll stay until the end of the season to take us up into the Premiership, but I think he'll not be here next season. Accept it and move on, in my opinion. RE: alan stubbs - 0762 - 12-11-2015 I reckon Alan Stubbs will stay with Hibs and see out this season but IMO if Hibs win a trophy/trophies then he'll likely move on together with certain Hibs players - it's the price of success and good management and we've seen this scenario unfold before! Could it be that N Ireland's successful manager, Michael O'Neil, has shown an implicit interest in possibly returning to Hibs after his recent bbc interview when he expressed his huge disappointment re the false rumour that he had alcohol probs prior to him being rejected as a possible Hibs manager when Colin Calderwood was given the nod instead? It's a curious little anecdote that is maybe more significant than it appears to be. RE: alan stubbs - hibeejim21 - 06-12-2015 SSN saying stubbs is in the frame for the reading job. RE: alan stubbs - supercooper - 06-12-2015 Must be true... RE: alan stubbs - St Charles Owl - 06-12-2015 Got to love these managerial rumours!!!! I am sure he is doing well enough to be noticed but I can't see him leaving Hibs for the Championship at this stage. If he has a desire to manage in England, and the Championship would be a good level for him to target, he is much better getting Hibs up and then looking at his options. Its a bit more reputable a source than a bunch of rangers supporting hacks at the daily record/herald,thats for sure. RE: alan stubbs - Fredstersafool - 06-12-2015 Stubbs is staying until Warburton takes the Fulham job then he's taking over at Ibrox apparently. RE: alan stubbs - 0762 - 07-12-2015 Stubbs commented at last years agm that he was certainly ambitious but he had achieved nowt @ hfc so far. That situation has not changed and his managerial apprenticeship continues! However, his reorganisation of Hibs football ops has been impressive and it looks like his revamped team and squad are now set up for a big push during this season. His philosophical comment today was that speculation will always prevail when Hibs FC is in the limelight - all part n parcel of the game! IMO he'll stay for the short term but, as said previously in another thread, he'll likely head south if we win things this season! Deja vu.
