Colchester United @ The Weston Homes Community Stadium 3/5/2015 - themaclad - 30-04-2015

Here we go last game of the league season, the equation is simple for both teams United need a win to have a chance of staying up depending on other games, we win we are up.
Quite happy United drew with Swindon on Tuesday means they have to have a go, might have been a different game if they didn't need to win.
This could be a chaotic afternoon with a possible strange scoreline there will could be plenty of goals in this one, draw no good to either side.
There will be a match report but will be on Tuesday as I'll be there for the weekend, hopefully will not be stood outside Deepdale on Tuesday morning queuing for tickets to the away leg at Chesterfield on Thursday night.
If we do not go up automatically then we certainly will not do it in the play offs, getting 89 points and not going up is a psychological killer. Well lads finish the job on Sunday. SIMPLES but it is North End I'm talking about, high stress levels expected

Wish you luck in this one. As you say the fact they have to attack as well may well allow the quality in your squad to shine through, and as you say there could be a few goals in this one with both sides going for the win.

Good luck with this one. Who has the worst play off record, you or Sheffield United?

LS they will beat us then lay waste to the Blunts in the final

I think I read somewhere that Preston and the Blunts have the 2 worst playoff records, having appeared multple times and never been promoted!!! I just hope you get the auto spot, as you said the disappointment of not quite securing 2nd could really affect your whole club!! Hopefully you get the win and then MK can take care of the blunts and Chezzie can then do them in the final!!

Almost time this is bigger than the boxing

Not what was planned!! I suppose it was inevitable that MK would win in a canter and your game was always going to be a tough one, and so it proved!! Heartbreaking late goal sealed your fate and you must be disappointed with the outcoem, but as fans, players and club you need to now come together and do it the hard way!! You have been easily one of the best three teams in the division all season, believe in yourselves and claim your rightful place in the Championship!!! Its time to remove the jinx that is the playoffs for you guys, go for it and the quality will show through!!!

Listened to the match at work on 5Live Sports Extra. Sounded like your lads weren't up for it.
