Huddersfield Town 2-2 West Bromwich Albion - Amelia Chaffinch - 23-08-2022

You wouldn't believe the trouble I've had finding a background photo I could use.
I had a lovely montage image but would Imgur allow me to use it? Nope.
Trouble is you've already invested a lot of time in it by that stage.  Doh
I'm exhausted now.  Sleepy

The Baggies obviously having a better start than us. They started with a 1-1 draw away to Boro, followed by another 1-1 draw at home to Watford. After a good 1-0 win at home to Sheff Utd in the League Cup there was a not so good 2-1 loss away to Blackburn. The next two were both at home; a 0-0 midweek bore draw to Cardiff preceded a brilliant goal fest in a 5-2 win against Hull.
So they travel to our place on a high.

Our only win was obviously the one against Stoke but it was a good one.

If we can replicate that form we'll be fine.

We've obviously had an unintentional rest week because Coventry are having a battle with t'Wasps and it's not something the pest controllers can sort.

Hopefully, after our poor showing away to Norwich, albeit with a fab consolation from Pat Jones, our boys will have been put through their paces to within an inch of their lives.

Unfortunately we will be without Tom Lees due to a one-match suspension and the majority of our defenders will be short-arses.

Nicholls or Connell as I like to call him will have to step up!

Our last time out was a 2-2 draw at the Hawthorns and we still have a decent record against them. Our home tie last season was a 1-0 victory for us with a 6th minute goal from Sinani. West Brom's Jake Livermore saw red in the 78th and we still didn't lose! Although I think the "we can't play against 10 men" might be wearing a bit thin.
Huh

Nice one, Amelia. Thumb up

Not now, Shortarse. We're having tiffin. Laugh

Looking forward to this, mainly because I've a table booked at Magic Rock for 2hrs and 30minutes before the game so I should be able to get enough beer down my neck to forget what happens on the pitch

You should try the Nailmaker Brewery in Darton sometime, Wakey. My group had a booking there (i had checked there were soft drinks!) but I couldn't go in the end. It gets lots of good press, though.

I'll have to stick it on my list, The Darton Tap is supposed to be good as well

"So they travel to our place on a high."

Not confident at all, Amy. (Baggies fan)
I'll be happy with just a 0-2.

That's what I've heard as well. If you do a trip to Darton, there's the Old Bakery that sells the fancy beers as well.

Love the animation, Amelia. Though there has been no mention of Albion losing to Derby in the EFL with a strong team - at least for us it was Big Grin Big Grin
I think we will be lucky to get a win. So a fair result for us Albion fans who respect Huddersfield is a draw 0-0.

He's coming home.

David Wagner will be at the John Smith's on Saturday. Smile
