Ross Co v Hibs, Wed 24 Nov, KO 7.45pm - 0762 - 23-11-2021 https://www.hibernianfc.co.uk/article/preview-ross-county-vs-hibs-1 Well the start of our league fixtures' backlog begins tomorrow night in Dingwall. Not sure what Hibs side is gonna "show up" TBH. However, one thing is certain and that is the fact that the guys have got a huge lift from that vg win over Rangers at Hampden Park. The euphoria after that semi-final victory was there for all to see. We wanna ideally carry on where we left off and do a similar job on the Staggies. It looks like Porty will be missing from our defence. I'll be a tad concerned if that is the case and Darren Mac slotting in to replace him. Doig is also a doubt and I'm sure Stevo will be an able and willing deputy. The worry will be if the players lose that "edge" that they definitely have when playing Rangers. Try to avoid any complacency please. Lets "push on" and keep up the positive momentum and high spirits within the player squad. GGTTH RE: Ross Co v Hibs, Wed 24 Nov, KO 7.45pm - ritchiebaby - 24-11-2021 Hopefully not, but I think we will lose the edge and hunger we showed on Sunday. Ross Co are difficult opponents and we need to start picking up points again. A draw might turn out to be acceptable. GGTTH RE: Ross Co v Hibs, Wed 24 Nov, KO 7.45pm - 0762 - 24-11-2021 I'm hoping JR gives Doidgy a chance to play alongside Kevin Nisbet and the opportunity to possibly bag a few goals. It may still be too early for him to start after such a long period of inactivity, but would be good to see another forward, other than Boyly, consistently converting scoring opps. RE: Ross Co v Hibs, Wed 24 Nov, KO 7.45pm - 1Wattie - 25-11-2021 Usual Hibs - take on a team who are struggling and present them with 3 points. That is not good enough and we need to sort it out before we are scrapping for our existence in the SPFL. Is it the players or the boss or a bit of both? It could be a long hard season the way things are going RE: Ross Co v Hibs, Wed 24 Nov, KO 7.45pm - Inverurie Jambo - 25-11-2021 Not helped by two needless red cards Wattie. RE: Ross Co v Hibs, Wed 24 Nov, KO 7.45pm - ritchiebaby - 25-11-2021 Doidge is newly back after a long absence and immediately gets himself suspended. And Boyle too. That's two important players unavailable ![]() RE: Ross Co v Hibs, Wed 24 Nov, KO 7.45pm - 0762 - 25-11-2021 (25-11-2021, 00:19)1Wattie Wrote: Usual Hibs - take on a team who are struggling and present them with 3 points. One simple answer 1Wattie - a player named Kevin Nisbet who can't score a goal from any decent position in the opposition pen box and has had that striking problem for quite a while - he was f###### awful in that regard tonight and could've scored a "hat trick" well before those nightmare ref incidents happened to both Doidgy and Boyly. Ross again very annoying in not finally substituting Nisbet a lot earlier than after the hour mark!!!!!?????? Hibs creating scoring opps from both flanks and not punchless btw. Hanlon hitting their post , Lady Luck not giving Hibs anything either!! Macey hardly troubled during the whole match! As for the refereeing?? No comment!! Can't be bothered debating Scot refereeing any more!! ![]() RE: Ross Co v Hibs, Wed 24 Nov, KO 7.45pm - HerefordBull - 25-11-2021 Was waiting for an in depth "discussion" on the ref from you 0762 after that shocking performance from the whistle blower! ![]() As has been said , a good result on Sunday followed by another poor one in the League........typical Hibs. The Ross Plan A with little option on the bench and lack of depth in the squad is really showing now ( especially without Doidge and Boyle for 2 games ) and with Saints, sevco and 'Well up next that 5 in a row could become 8. ![]() ![]() Will Ross appeal the Boyle red to delay the first game he would miss whilst waiting for the tribunal, in an effort to have him on Saturday and avoid another loss? Most of our attacking threats come via Boyle so not hoping for anything from the 2 games he misses. As the new T shirt says......." Do we look Happy?" ![]() GGTTH RE: Ross Co v Hibs, Wed 24 Nov, KO 7.45pm - 0762 - 25-11-2021 Post match comment by Jack Ross - "Boyly gave the referee an appraisal of his performance ![]() ![]() RE: Ross Co v Hibs, Wed 24 Nov, KO 7.45pm - hibeejim21 - 25-11-2021 That goal we lost was a total embarrassment. When we click it can result in good performance and a win but the squad just isn't strong enough and last night we just seized up completely in the 2nd half. Five consecutive league defeats is worrying form, and fifteen points from twelve games ? Just incredibly frustrating and last night was no surprise. |
