Well I know we had wout brama on trial a while back but he signed a short term contract back in holland. I know a guy who works with the playing staff and they were interested and so was he, but he had missed nine months via injury and from what brama said he is there for fitness before moving abroad

I put something somewhere on datm partly saying it is difficult to blame powell for the players lack of concentration etc.
But I also mentioned that I felt town needed to invest more in the scouting network, we cover Ireland Scotland Norway and Holland. But why arent we looking at italy Germany Spain France etc? People say the players we need arent available, well if you look in the right places they are.
I remember seeing a serbian centre half, 6"7 or 8 and believe me he owned that pitch. Ariel bayyles he dominated, crunching tackles, pace wasnt an issue either and what got me most was the fact he'd get the ball in defence and he took it to the edge of the opposition 18yard box, passed it out wide and scored from the cross...
If I can see these why can't town? I will say he looked like a championship david Luiz

Well past his sell by date. Powell obviously wants some people he knows well, but I can't see what he would add to the team.

Quality player jackson on his day but agree with others, his age is a problem. At best he would give us a good 2 or 3 years but I think its his leadership which Powell likes as well. Basically carried Charlton for the last few years, goalscorer, great free kick and set piece taker and good distributor. Would also give us another leader in the midfield and try and arrest this spineless attribute we have through the team with not enough people taking responsibility, i think building up a leadership group is very much in his thoughts. I wouldn't mind having him if his wages weren't too high.

But then again it is a squad game and to have four midfielders challenge for three spots would still be relatively healthy for the side

Plus our current midfield is choice is dire. Three near enough guaranteed first team starters and no one else anywhere near their quality. No wonder he's looking to strengthen there.
