  3 in a row?
Posted by: Dancingwilldoit - 29-02-2016, 13:47 - Forum: Chesterfield - Replies (19)

Am I tempting fate? 3 points tomorrow would be just perfect and put a bit more distance between us and the basement. Knowing us it wont quite work out that way but Saturdays result restored my confidence is us avoiding the drop.
With Doncaster and those cheating bastards Peterborough in freefall, the back end of the season could prove interesting.

Saturdays game(for 45 mins) showed just how good we can be
and it more or less added fuel to the fire
Added fuel for the Keep Pulis Brigade(first half)
Added fuel for the Pulis out brigade(Second Half)

having read the post match posts it got me wondering

IF...and its a big IF..we go to Leicester tomorrow and win
and as we all know when we are expected to lose something strange happens

what will the anti pulis brigade think?

this is not a dig at those people at all
to me it shows they have passion(as we all do) for our great club

but(and i may be wrong)
the anti Pulis brigade have yet to come forward with a suitable replacement they want as manager

Queen Of The South v Hibs - 01/03/16
Posted by: ritchiebaby - 29-02-2016, 01:10 - Forum: Hibernian - Replies (37)

If the current slide is not arrested right now, Hibs will be playing in the first play-off game, after scares from Morton and QOTS in the last two games of the season. In two half-hour spells in the last two games, Hibs have lost 6 goals without reply. It doesn't really matter what's to blame for these terrible results - too many wholesale changes at once, Mark Oxley or Anthony Stokes - as long as we learn more from them than our next opponents do.

I'm certain that there will be more changes for Tuesday's game and hopefully one that will not change - Stokes' name will not be on the team sheet. I'd have Virtaanen in instead of Oxley and Boyle in instead of Carmichael, leaving Bartley in the side.

QOTS will be dangerous as they are involved in a scrap with Raith Rovers, Morton, St Mirren and Dumbarton for the remaining play-off place and will be desperate not to lose out in their rivals' results against Hibs. Be warned!!! We need to rediscover the form that saw us put 3 goals past them in the previous encounter at Palmerston Park.

Dick Sheppard keeps Leicester at bay as Albion come from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Filbert Street, 23rd March 1968

A nervy but worthy - and above all, enjoyable - win on Saturday has given us a timely boost after a very difficult six weeks in Albionland. We'll be heading into the springtime effectively safe from relegation, needing just another win and a couple of draws to see us over the line. Of course, Leicester have already long since achieved that objective, and are hunting for points for a very different reason; one which would have seemed ludicrous this time last year. It's been suggested that the lack of pressure on Leicester is the very reason they've been able to become such pacesetters in the title race while the likes of City and Arsenal have fallen away; however, coming into these final few months, with the dream seeming ever more possible, there will be an increasing weight of expectation on the Foxes to grind out wins in matches like this. Against a poor Norwich side on Saturday, it took eight-nine minutes to find the necessary breakthrough: can Albion prove an even more frustrating obstacle?

For me, the fixture between the sides in October demonstrated that there's not an immense gulf in quality between the two teams, in a match Albion were ultimately unlucky to lose. Approach this as a winnable game, and with a little luck, we may get our reward this time.

The real story/explanation unfolds - a Stokes rift and a dressing room split!
Posted by: 0762 - 28-02-2016, 13:21 - Forum: Hibernian - Replies (70)

As feared by a number of Hibs Sportsbabble posters incl myself, it transpires there is already a problem with Anthony Stokes! He was not ill. He was actually dropped v Dumbarton after a fall out with Stubbs and George Craig because of his unacceptable behaviour. I've also been informed this morning there is a dressing room split and that info explains a lot to me re some of the questionable behavioural issues/poor form that I've previously mentioned. I knew there was something wrong - now it's become more transparent! And guess who is the main instigator? Yep you've got it! I'd bin him now and send him back to his manager, Deila, who rightly has no time for Stokes either! The timing of this ludicrous episode, weeks before a cup final, is hugely disappointing and our strength was a unified dressing room which Stubbs praised in previous interviews! His gamble has failed to redress our  lack of goals and we need strong management to effectivrly deal with this whole issue. As Hibs fans, this is not the first time that this problem has arisen in potentially good Hibs sides and I despair watching this scenario unfold again. I just hope that Hibs management team, incl Leeann Dempster, can swiftly deal with this disruption as there is still a lot to play for until the season ends!

  Dumbarton v Hibs
Posted by: 0762 - 26-02-2016, 21:35 - Forum: Hibernian - Replies (95)

This is our third fixture in seven days and here's hoping Hibs react positively to that surprise loss v Morton at ER. The Sons have just been dumped out of the Scottish Cup by Dundee. So they'll be 'down in the dumps' as well. I think Stubbs must look at the key positions that have failed us in the past four league fixtures apart from the one v The Wasps. We can do without misfiring strikers who are squandering some excellent opportunities to score. IMO it's an issue that the manager must redress! Bartley must start as well as Hanlon and I'd also opt for the big Finnish goalie, Virtanen, and 'foot Oxley up the arse' for that shit performance v Morton. Please don't give us another flat performance again Hibs. Freshen up the team Stubbsy and push on to this Dumbarton team, no messing about.

  Rotherham sex offenders
Posted by: Amelia Chaffinch - 26-02-2016, 20:35 - Forum: Abstract Chat - No Replies

Three brothers have been sentenced to 35, 25 and 19 years respectively. I hope that further sentences are meted out in prison if you get my drift. Someone actually dared ask if their race has protected them all the while they were getting away with it. It was a brave question but the answer is most definitely yes. Some men do have a derogatory way of regarding females, whether that be racially motivated or otherwise. It's not right but I am impressed that, eventually, there is justice both in this case and other offenders caught in operation Yew Tree.

Kidderminster collected a few points for St Charles, but he's till on the slide and his substitution policy is bound to under scrutiny in the post-season analysis. Consilio and betterthan seem to be putting together a consistent run, Ritchiebaby's trying to accelerate, whilst down the table Lord Snooty's selection policy of apparently choosing clubs on the basis of whether he likes them or not still hasn't really paid off ....... though he's slowly climbing out of trouble.
