Quote:Huddersfield boss Carlos Corberan told BBC Radio Leeds:

"We knew how important it would be today to get the three points. We knew today that to compete we needed a lot of fight mentality, and a brave mentality.

"The game was for me equal in the first half, but in the first minutes of the second half they were better than us. They statred to play more balls in our half and we had problems in making our transition.

"The game was too open in some moments and they used one of those fast transitions to score the goal and that made them more comfortable in defending the result.

"In the last minutes the team reacted in a way they have to react, we tried to play better, we started to play more close to their goal with some options, but in the end we couldn't get the result that we wanted to."

Quote:Barnsley manager Valerien Ismael told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"It's a great feeling, especially the performance from the guys - it was exactly what we wanted to see after the Coventry game.

"We had to start strong and finish strong because this is us, and we saw a great Barnsley performance tonight.

"We have to score more goals maybe, we dominate the party, but we didn't concede a big chance, we controlled the situation and the guys gave us everything today.

"Luton play 0-0 against Reading and it's a great feeling to have two more points on the table now, but we focus on the next game. It will be a tough game against Rotherham. It may be their last chance against us to rescue (their Championship status) so it will be a big fight."
That was absolute dross.

The ball end up going out wide and Keogh has the chance to press the Barnsley player out wide but no he instead decides to back off all the way to the penalty area allowing the BFC player the chance to run at him, which he does and puts the cross in for the goal. Criminal defending by someone with a vast amount of experience at this level.

Schofield- I think I'm going to rename him Flapper because that's what he does when a ball comes into the Box

Keogh- Shit, see above.
Sarr- Looked like an accident waiting to happen
Bacuna,O'Brien-passengers
Tactics- got it all wrong
Subs- High on for Rowe...what the f*ck.

1 shot on target and that took 77minutes

4 minutes of stoppage time, mainly played tippy tappy the ball to each other in our own half...get it forward we are losing and need a f*cking goal.
Who the hell sanctioned last night's shirt sponsors? A debt recovery company who specialise in evictions.
WTF has happened to our club? Angry

I can think of several personnel at the club we could use them to evict
I'm no medical expert, but why were Toffolo and Pipa rested? We've only three games in three weeks to play now. Surely they could've managed another game.

Another baffling decision by Clueless. Surely they would be fit enough to give us 60/75minutes.
Rather have them available for Saturday and against Coventry tbh. Last night was a free hit even if it was a local derby.
Believe neither toffolo or pipa are able to play 2 games a week atm. I can understand that with toffs after so long out, likewise I don't see jk starting on Saturday.

Things I would ask are like already mentioned the tactics, Rowe looked lively again yet golden boy Scott high replaces him. Duane Holmes at lwb? Why? Duane Holmes full stop, why? Yes Jaden brown has been really below par this season but surely a left footed defender would be a better option there? We saw the difference having toffs back made on Saturday.

The passing at the back in the last 5 mins, why? Sarr should have been up top and try to get something from that. I disagree Keogh has been solid so far really and I think I prefer him over stearman who overcommits himself a lot, could he have done better for their goal, probably, but so could high, Hogg, sarr, bacuna, Holmes and maybe reg.

I'm all for giving high and Thomas their chance but eiting did more in his cameo than high has for this season, he ain't ready he needs a loan out in summer and Thomas, he came on ahead of Aaron's, really? I think we all know mbenza is goneski but does he offer more threat than Thomas atm, possibly.

Finally sanogo, awful, looks a decent fella but not a decent player, he barely won owt, his touch was awful and a goal threat he'll never be, he's called sanogoals for a reason. Surely we'd have been better trying to avoid playing like them, with their big defenders and play with pace and make them foul, surely? What's happened to Phillips, he was looking promising until he disappeared when sanogo arrived.
That shirt sponsor has caused a right hoo haa.

Just another learning curve for Phil and his merry men, the curve must be like the side of Everest these days
