LAST TIME OUT
ROTHERHAM UNITED 2 AFC BOUNEMOUTH 2
WATFORD 4 PRESTON NORTH END 1
LAST MEETING AFC BOURNEMOUTH 2 PRESTON NORTH END 3
A league cup meeting which we won in extra time thanks to a beanpole Dane Makienok
Have been to Dean Court twice, the first was a 0-0 draw in May 1991 it was a Thursday night due to the fact in those days you were not allowed to play games in seaside resorts at Bank Holidays due to Leeds fans re arranging furniture ad various other things when rioting in Bournemouth previously.
The second visit was even more of a trek 1/1/1992 lost to an Efan Ekoku goal after 5 minutes, as away games go it was acracker, a coach load of completely wrecked people after New Years Eve, went passed Birmingham and nobody was about, the first stop was either Frnckley services or Strensham cannot remember which, put it this way if anyone had lit a math in the bogs the vast majority of the Midlands would have been destroyed.
One other oddity from that game think there were about 500 of us there that day including a bloke with a dog, had never seen him before thought he must have been a Southern based supporter.
However when they showed highlights of Dean Court games he was always there with us dog.
Wasn't until internet arrived that I found out who he was:-
Gordon bobby Roberts (born 1928),[1] better known as Gordon the Tramp, is a resident of Bournemouth who is famous for always knowing the correct time even though he does not own a watch.[2]
He is a well known character in Bournemouth with his large beard and Manchester United scarf, which he wears to all the AFC Bournemouth games.[3] Despite his nickname, Roberts is not actually a homeless man as he owns a house in Charminster, Bournemouth.[4]
Roberts became an internet phenomenon when Chris Kimber, a Bournemouth University student, created a Facebook page on his behalf.[5] As of January 2010 he has gathered an appreciative collection of 14,685 friends on this site;[6][7] fans have uploaded pictures of themselves with Roberts and added stories about meeting him.[5][8] The phenomenon has been widely reported in many UK newspapers and has spread as far as the Netherlands and Australia.[9] He has also been a subject on South England's Meridian News which can be viewed on video sharing websites such as YouTube. On 13 January 2010, a Facebook group was set up proclaiming Roberts had died of a heart attack. However, it was soon discovered to be a hoax and shortly afterwards he was found alive and well in Bournemouth town centre.[10] As of July 2011, an online campaign was underway to have Roberts carry the Olympic torch as it passed through Bournemouth.[11] The singer/songwriter Julian Barry who is also from Bournemouth wrote a song titled 'Gordon The Tramp' about Gordon Roberts.

BOURNEMOUTH NEWBIES
Only two of note Riquelme on loan from Athletico Madrid and Carter-Vickers on loan from Spurs.
Otherwise they have most of last seasons top flight squad apart from having raked in 80 milion for Ake, Wilson and Ramsdale
MACS VIEW
Like Watford free hit for us do not expect us to get anything from this, piles more pressure on the manager however the match on Saturday will become a must not lose game if he wishes to stay in post pressure building big time.
