We get calls for more black managers and then one who would be ideal to step up for the role goes straight into a pundit job at Sky.
Odd, I thought he would have been a pundit on MOTD or do his coaching badges and become a manager. They say strikers make the best managers e.g Fergie, Clough.
I once saw Thierry Henry play. Back in around 1999, my nephew was a young Arsenal fan without ever watching them live. So I took him to see them play the Wendies at Hillsborough.
Thierry Henry was utter dog shit. The worst individual performance I have ever seen.
First saw him at Monaco who had at the time Jean Tigana as manager and what a team

Fabien Barthez
Willy Sagnol
Emmanuel Petit
Martin Djetou
Eric Di Meco

Sylvian Legwinski
John Collins
Ali Bernabia

Viktor Ikpeba
Thierry Henry

Sonny Anderson

Subs/Squad: Stephane Porato, Phillipe Christanaval, Enzo Scifo, David Trezeguet to name a few

Henry was a winger in an awesome side many who went onto even bigger clubs I thought even then Henry would really be superb
Juventus then bought him,I think they bought Henry and Juan Esnaider(from Espanyol) to replace Christian Vieri? Very suprised it didnt turn out well for him there

Not suprised he played `well `at Arsenal especially with a feeder like Bergkamp behind him, Henry being moved into a centre forward position was an absolute masterstroke
One thing which stands out in my mind is the backheel against Norwich at Highbury, I remember watching it on MOTD or the Premiership, (when ITV had the rights) I thought it was fantastic the way he scored with his back to the goal.

The problem is he will always be remembered for the handball against Ireland in the World Cup Qualifer and people will remember that more than certain goals he scored.

I always thought what a great partnership Henry and Van Nistelrooy would have had if they were on the same team, two fantastic strikers .
