I've no problem with the season being voided, so long as that's what it is. Voided. No promotion. No relegation.
I don't like what League 2 have done, promoting teams that haven't completed the season.

While I agree that if we void then it is simply stopped and we press restart whenever that is possible. Problem is for most clubs in the top 4 divisions that would mean 2 things, money not coming in from existing tv and sponsorship deals that are dependent on the season being finished and likely refunds needing to be paid to the same sponsors if the money for a full season has already been paid. I hate that this is all about money but that is the reality for any business and football is really no different, they need income and they have expenditures.
Get the season finished behind closed doors, whenever that can be done and however best from a safety aspect to do so.
Well yes, that would be ideal. However, footballers, like the rest of us, mustn't be forced to return if they consider it not safe to do so.

I agree but to be fair there have been people working throughout this pandemic who really had no choice in it!! Not saying footballers are by any means essential but they will be looked after far better with regards to testing, medical accessibility and social distancing that those who have worked through this whole thing!! As for Troy Deeney, I can respect that view but surely for him he should just isolate himself from his family in a hotel or whatever just like players do for a world cup, admittedly that might only work in the top 2 divisions in terms of cost but it is one of the things football should consider.
The problem with sport, and other industries like movies or theme parks, is they are purely there for our entertainment, they have no essential nature at all and for that reason its very easy to view them as not important and potentially allow them to wither on the vine as this drags on. Football needs to find a way to function in this current climate, and it needs to do it quickly or else we will see a lot of people lose their jobs for good and the industry will collapse, and because its not considered essential like an airline or bank or car manufacturer, its an industry that will not get bailed out.
Well done today, it was an end to end exciting game, and I'm sure with that spirit you'll be ok and won't go down.
