This is a welcome home fixture for Hibs v a "misfiring" Saints' team but I'd still cautiously comment that we don't know what Hibs team is gonna show up during this match. I wanna see Hibs looking like a fitter and defensively tight side compared with previous matches although I must admit I'm not sure re Hecky's capabilities as a manager.
They are absolutely atrocious the now so we should stand a good chance of picking up a confidence boosting 3 points.

Our shambolic defending of late will need to improve though.

The shambolic defending continues and just look at the damning stats for this match - you'd never think Hibs were the home team esp v a piss poor Saint Johnstone side!! Hibs just can't hold a lead with the defenders that they have!! For me, the "alarm bells are ringing" even louder re Heckingbottom's status as Hibs manager and not being able to adapt his team formations to at least perform reasonably well at home!! I don't believe he is that good a manager and have not changed that view since the start of the season.
Dearie me - we are all over the shop. There is no balance at all to the midfield, playing Scott Allan out wide FFS, vela in the 10 role - don't think he touched the ball much at all. The defence doesn't seem to have any confidence at all and has now shipped 11 goals in 3 games and to be honest we toiled for long periods against a really poor st Johnstone side. The quality of the football we played was atrocious, and even worse really, really boring and dull.

The board have supported him player wise, so we have to give him time to get it right, but once again I was mystified by his post match interview where he sounded clueless and he even had a pop at the fans for daring to dream about seeing out a win against st Johnstone at home.

September is going to be a big month for hecky, going by the comments in the club afterwards a lot of the fans are seriously pissed off with him.
Ron Gordon in the stands sitting among Hibs fans this afternoon - all is clear re this shambles for any knowledgeable fan and is Gordon also aware!!? Hecky takes off Allan rather than opt to switch and play him in his natural mid role!!!??? Then, as you say, in his post-match interview he has a "pop" at the "anxious" Hibs fans in the stands who unsettled the players!! Jeezzz!! What a cheap distraction from the shit display that he managed!! IMO Heckingbottom's days at ER Stadium are "numbered" - broke a "golden rule" governing the management of any footie team - DINNAE SLAG OFF YOUR LOYAL FANS!! I must also add that Hibs sold just under 13k STs to Hibs fans with words that Hibs had an exciting season of entertainment ahead of them - great expectation from the fans and rightly so but not the case with this manager in charge providing dull, uninspiring footie!!! Thumb down Lastly, Hibs next four fixtures are Motherwell (A), Killie (A), Hearts (H) and Celtic (H) - I can't visualise Heckingbottom and his assistant surviving these fixtures unless he somehow "plucks a rabbit out the bag" and does something different?? I can't see it - HE'LL BE GONE DURING THIS PERIOD OF TESTY FIXTURES!!
