Another low scoring week from the PL predictors. For the first time this season there was a movement to make the Gamball compulsary by our large blubbery friend, but as most things he says and promises its all just bluster!! This weeks leading predictor is indeed Beefy with 17 points, had he stuck to his guns and actually followed his own rules he would have gained a further 2 points by actually playing the Gamball!! He did score a maximum on his BB and backed that up with points from 5 of the 10 games for a good score from a consistent week.

Big drop down to three players in joint 2nd, Sanjay, Matt and Amelia, who all ended on 8 points. Sanjay got points on the Gamball to boost his score while Matt and Amelia were among several players to get 2 spot on scores. A further couple of points behind them we find our league leader Zinman and Derby on 6 points. Zinman of course didn’t play the Gamball and picked up a CR BB but aside from the player in last place he picked up points on the least number of games!! Derby missed both his major scoring balls so despite getting two spot on scores he lost most of those points on the balls.

A further point behind on 5 points were our long time league leader BBB and third placed SCO, both missing every one of the balls so despite getting three CS between them they only amassed 10 points!! Ninth place belongs the the fast dropping Worldclass on -1 points, no CS, no points from his balls and only 2 CRs saw him go negative again. In last place, somethung he must be used to by now is Lord Snooty, he managed just one scoring prediction, missed all his balls and ended up on a miserable -3, the fat leader is surely singing for him now!!!

Not that many weeks left in the season but with this weeks scores I think Bombers tables will show there is all to play for as we head into the run in!!

Cheers

Very little change to the Premiership table this week barring one notable exception.

Zinman added another point to his advantage at the top as rightly disobeying orders he swerved the Gamball to stand 10 points clear of BBB in 2nd after another lowly week.

The exception who I mentioned earlier is Beefy who had a stonking week earning 9 points more than anyone else to move into 3rd and only 3 points off 2nd and 13 from the summit, he displaces St Charles who drops a place into 4th though still very much in contention as we head into the business end of the season.

The same can be said for Matt who’s just another 7 points back in 5th outscoring all those above him bar one and it’s only 3 points down to 6th where we find Derby, another who is still close enough to have a say.

As is Sanjay despite being what would normally be seen as a lowly 7th, whereas Worldclass continues to struggle and managed to take a point off last weeks tally to sit 8th and at the moment well and truly in possession of the relegation play-off spot.

Meanwhile Amelia and Snooty look like the Huddersfield of our league and are looking for divine intervention sitting almost 60 and 80 points respectively adrift of safety.

This week's championship bears an uncanny resemblance to the Premier League - one player way ahead of the rest and then a set of very average scores. One difference is that the Championship's top scorer just happens to be the same person that has dominated the league this season (rather than the mid-table non-entity in the top division). So is this the week that finally secured Themaclad the title? Good ball play secured an impressive 17 points - Themac was one of only 2 players to get the gamball result correct, got a correct score on his bonus and picked up the extra scoreball point - on this form he may well be a force in the big boys (and girls) league next season.
4eva edges second place, a long way back on 8 points 6 of which were gained from his correct bonus score. Baggie one matched Themaclad's total of correct scores and results but failed to play well enough with his balls, losing points on both the gamball and bonus. He was joined on 7 points by Bomber who was the other player to get the gamball result correct - but, just like his twin Beefy, he wimped out on the gamble costing him 2 points that might just be important at the end of the season.
Joker decided that abstinence was the best policy and chose not to play with his balls this week - except the gamball which of course he got wrong! He was joined on 5 points by Twerton, the only player this week to fail to predict a correct score. Quantum continued his policy of not playing the gamball and yet again he chose wisely but with only 2 correct predictions his promotion push may be coming under pressure.
And holding up the table this week is Stairs - just a single point after negatives on both his gamball and bonus to bring his recent good run to a crashing halt.

Like the Premiership, the Championship showed very little movement in terms of positions, though Themaclad turned the screw a little tighter to strengthen his grip on top spot outscoring all other players by at least 9 points to extend his lead to 24 points over Quantum in 2nd who suffered a rare poor return this week.

He does though, still sit 31 points ahead of his nearest pursuer, Bomber in 3rd who has not played the Gamball for the last 3 weeks, the same 3 weeks that he got all 3 results right one of which would have been a maximum, costing him 8 points though he manages to head the cluster of players who seemingly only have the promotion play-off spot to play for, such is the top 2’s advantage, Twerton, despite losing a couple of points in the battle, kept that 3rd spot well in his sights, though he did lose some of his advantage over those below him.

4eva was the only climber this week moving up a place to 5th and another still in with a big shout for 3rd only 10 points off it, while BaggieOne is only a solitary point further back in 6th.

Stairs suffered a bad week yet still sits just 16 points away from that cherished “last chance” 3rd spot and one off the bottom in 7th, while Joker has only pride to play for as he sits over 70 points adrift at the bottom
