A trip to the capital for yours truly 9.58 am train then tube to Loftus Road to see us play a side who have improved leaps and bounds this season after a dreadful start, they are in a decent run of form 11th in the table but form wise they are 6th, lost last time out at Leeds but have not lost at home since the beginning of December when Hull won there. Have a side with experience plus some good young players and the signing of Nahki Wells very astute he is decent at this level. Beat them 1-0 on the opening day of the season, tougher game this, looks like Clarke misses out so Fisher will play right back, may the Lord have mercy on our souls, Darnell has gone backwards this season.
Be back late on Saturday so match blog on Sunday anyway here;s the usual wiki and team news gubbins.

Queens Park Rangers Football Club, commonly abbreviated to QPR, is a professional association football club based in White City, London. The team currently plays in the Championship, the second tier of English football. Their most recent appearance in the Premier League was during their 2014–15 season. Their honours include winning the League Cup in 1967, as well as the Second Division in 1983 and the Championship in 2011. QPR were also triumphant in the 2013–14Championship playoffs and were winners of the Third Division South in 1947–48 and the Third Division in 1966–67. They were runners-up in the First Division in 1975–76, and reached the final of the 1982 FA Cup.[2]
Queens Park Rangers were founded in 1886 after the merger of Christchurch Rangers and St. Judes Institute. In the early years after the club's formation in its original home of Queen's Park, London, they played their home games at many different grounds, until finally the club settled into its current location at Loftus Road.[2]
Owing to their proximity to the other west London clubs, QPR maintain long-standing rivalries with several other clubs in the surrounding area. The most notable of these are Chelsea, Fulham and Brentford, with whom they contest the West London Derbies.[2]
Team News: Queens Park Rangers
Manager Alex Neil goes from feast to famine at one end of the pitch and vice versa at the other after last weekend’s game.
In the clash with Swansea City at Deepdale he welcomed three new forward-thinking options to his squad, plus others back from injury, however, in the game he lost three defensive options in the space of 35 second half minutes.
Paul Huntington was replaced at half-time with a groin problem and he will be assessed ahead of the trip to the capital. Skipper Tom Clarke then left the pitch with a calf complaint and he too is a doubt for the clash with Steve McClaren’s men.
Finally, Josh Earl - on for Huntington at half-time – was sent off with just under ten minutes left, for two yellow cards, and he will miss the trip to Loftus Road.
Fellow defender, Ben Davies, who has missed the last four games, has made a return to training after a hamstring complaint, along with Louis Moult, who has been out since the Sheffield Wednesday game, just before Christmas, with the same injury.
Transfer window signings Josh Ginnelly and Connor Ripley are awaiting their first opportunities and will push for inclusion, having got run outs in a behind closed doors game against Graham Alexander’s Salford City in midweek.
QPR manager Steve McClaren has a strong squad to choose from. Darnell Furlong did enough for the R's in their FA Cup win over Leeds United to retain his place for last weekend's trip to Sheffield United.
He is likely to continue at right back in the absence of the injured Angel Rangel, who remains sidelined with Geoff Cameron and Tomer Hemed, whilst Massimo Luongo is still on international duty with Australia, having secured them a last 16 place in the Asian Cup with a late winner against Syria in midweek.
Ref Watch: Queens Park Rangers
This weekend, one of the most experienced Championship officials, Andy Madley, will take charge of North End’s game against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.
The referee will be taking charge of his third North End game this season. He was the man with the whistle for our home clash with Stoke City back in August, which ended 2-2, and more recently the 4-1 win over local rivals Blackburn Rovers in November.
He has been in charge of some of the Lilywhites’ best moments over the years, most notably the League One Play-Off Final in the 2014/15 season, where a Jermaine Beckford hat-trick led to a convincing 4-0 over Swindon Town at Wembley.
Last season, Andy refereed four PNE games. He oversaw home victories against Reading and the final day 2-1 win over Burton Albion, as well as our games away to Ipswich Town at Portman Road and the return fixture against Reading.
He was in charge for a previous trip to Loftus Road, back in the 2016/17 season. Jermaine Beckford was on the scoresheet and Nedum Onuoha scored an own goal in a 2-0 victory as Simon Grayson’s returned from London with all three points, their first win of the season.
During that campaign, Andy refereed four more North End games including both games against Newcastle United and a 5-0 victory at Deepdale against Bristol City, where Callum Robinson netted twice.
As well as the aforementioned Play-Off Final, the official also had the whistle for another 4-0 victory in the 2014/15 season. North End convincingly beat Scunthorpe United away from home, as Joe Garner netted twice.
He was the referee for our famous Capital One Cup victory over rivals Blackpool in the 2013/14 season. Tom Clarke netted the winner three minutes from time to secure a famous 1-0 win over our rivals.
So far this season, he has refereed 22 games in all competitions, issuing 51 yellow cards and one red card. It will be the first time that he will referee QPR this season, with his last game being in April of the 2017/18 season when Rangers lost 2-1 to Brentford.
Most recently, he was in action in the Emirates FA Cup as he was the man in the middle when Chelsea beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 to secure their place in the fourth round of the competition earlier this month.
On Saturday, the ref will be assisted by Mark Russell and Rob Hyde with Andy Davies as the fourth official.
