Unsurprisingly not going well for Ipswich town

A few might point to the fans wanting a change from stale Mick McCarthy

Over ten years in the Championship and one play off failure, mediocrity for formerly a big club seems encouraged

Over the summer many managerial names were mentioned, apparently Frank Lampard was offered but when he heard what he had to work with was "Thanks, but no thanks"

It`s good that lower league managers who apparently have some talent are given the opportunity, enter Paul Hurst, yes it is a gamble but aren't all appointments

Hurst decided to bring in all nearly men from the lower divisions at the same time losing all the players who scored for them last term- McGoldrick, Celina, Garner, Waghorn

And as usual the manager is given less than half to buy new players of transfer cash income

So many years played stilted football it`s with wonder if Teddy Bishop or Andre Dozell will ever come good as players who have come through a good academy

future dosent look bright and if Hurst stays on current form it`s because Evans dosent want to pay compensation, state of the club all over
They picked up a crucial first win at Swansea yesterday, so something for Hurst to build on. As he is a fellow Wednesday fan I hoped Hurst would do better than this, but under the current regime at Ipswich, I am not sure anyone can do much!
