Jim Duffy is set for a return to management with Queen’s Park.
The Spiders will name the former Morton boss as Gus MacPherson’s successor.
Former Rangers and Scotland defender Maurice Ross has been linked with the League Two post.
But Duffy, sacked by Morton at the end of last season, has won the race to replace MacPherson who returned to old club St Mirren as technical director.
Duffy's first game in charge of the Hampden outfit will be against former club Clyde on Saturday.
