Venue
It still looks like a Big Blue Arab Mosque type of building, can't think why,
With what still looks like a load of big white Arab tents nearby
Built with Council Brass

Here we go gathering Nil's in August. Most likely 0 goals for us again but it would be nice to continue the run of Nil's against us at their's. I'll take that point now thank you very much.

How to get there.
Over t'hill, turn left at Oldham, down t'A62 and it's on your left just afore you get to Belle Vue. (Ask yer mam or yer dad, or maybe your gramps, but the bald polar bear and lions with mange instead of mane's were a treat.)
It doesn't look far from Piccadilly when you're sat on the train but it's t'best part of a 30 minute stroll even if you get a shift on. (Didn't I say that last season?  Whistle ) Get the tram - it'll be a tight squeeze but you never know who'll get up close and personal with you.  Cool

Otherwise it's all still in the Parking, Train-ing, Pies and Peeses usual link
http://www.footballgroundguide.com/leagu...-city.html

Football - what's that then?

Oh yeh, the reason for the copy and paste thread.  Well, has owt much changed tbh since the end of last season? Whistle
The Blue Mancs won a shed load of, er, records last season and I don't mean old 33 rpm albums or CD's by James or any band that the annoying pricks that are the Gallagher brothers have been involved with.

105 league goals? - It would take Town about 4 seasons to score that many under Wagbo, even if we drop out of the Prima Donna League, but hey we've a great defensive record at Citeh in 'recent' seasons. Nils against them all o'er the shop apart from the FA Cup replay when they eventually put a first 11 out against our reserves. Thumb up
Most wins? - they got 32, while we got 9, but it was enough.
Biggest winning points margin? - finished 19 clear of the Red Mancs and 25 above the only team to give them a hard time last season apart from us, Liverpool (on 3 occassions).
Most home wins? - blue Tongue that one with only 16. Screwed up in their last 2 games when they went free-wheeling.
Most away wins? - made it 18 when the Blue Mancs beat Sarfamton on the last day of the season
Consecutive Prima Donna League Wins? - they hold the record of 18 from earlier part of last season. Another 0-0 draw on Sunday should put that on hold for another week.
Consecutive Prima Donna League away wins? - City equalled the record of 11 away victories in a row with a victory at Newcastle but were denied posting a new milestone with a 0-0 draw away to Crystal Palace
Best goal difference? - Citeh ended up +79, hell it would take us at least 3 seasons to score that many let alone be that many in hand.
Most home goals? - Chelski kept that one with 68, Citeh mustered a paltry 61. Deary me.  Smartass
Most points? - despite our best efforts, they finished up with 100 points. I wouldn't bet against them doing it again.
There's a bunch of club records they chased down too but this is now getting bleedin' boring, again .....

Mind you, we broke a few records too .... sod it, let's not go there., we still managed to stay up in-spite of them Laugh

Pep - get the team spirits going again, take 'em on the raz again on Saturday afternoon in Cheshire where you all live. You can drink your hangovers off after the game by filling that big silver pot with JW Lee's Best Bitter or Mancland Pale Ale, again. It worked wonders for us last season, so why not do a repeat? Again? Please?

Played for both

Nah - sorry, did it last time - link to the old thread if you want to read it. http://www.sportsbabble.co.uk/thread-6696.html. Don't think we've bought/sold or loaned anyone to/from each other since.

Stats and all that guff

Head2Head
Still LevilforDevils, though with the average squad value of a player at the Emptyhad being equivalent to the value of our squad and change, it's not much of a level playing field now is it?
[Image: mB9o2xxHHfYGOxt7rHRa3ZNvOAH1YxDU6knlILJc...61-h625-no]

Who's banging 'em in?
Well, they've only scored 4 so far this season, 2 against a lacklustre Chelski at Wemberlee, they weren't quite as lacklustre at ours last weekend were they?, and two more at Arsenil. Can't really see where they will get a goal on their home patch to be honest, good job we aren't playing them in London, they'd probably stuff us. Tongue That bloke Aguero looks dangerous now he's fit again.

Now if our lads would just turn up like they did in Germany and Austria

Those were just our pre-season stats in 4 games, not bad eh? Whistle Funny how they look a lot like last seasons stats innit?

Where did they spend all the brass this Summer?

Leicester apparently.

Who left the Emptihad to pay for that lot then?
[Image: 8lN4qzWGlCTp49ON8OTF2DmXH30v5aDnx3WSA7Cv...82-h484-no]
Goalies, apparently. How is Angus Gunn is worth more than Joe Hart?

Meanwhile, down in HD1, just in case you've not been paying attention.

So who was fit enough to play last week?
[Image: -cDx5NegIs8dMVISrMzdxKEoVcZ2iPZPll_szj81...75-h404-no]
It was another fairly quiet afternoon in the old Norf of Larndan Tarn by all accounts.

Whereas Town played a somewhat familiar line-up, with a somewhat familiar result.

Form
If you don't know after only 1 game, you'll never know after 6. pay attention at the back please.  Smartass

Anyone else playing this weekend?

Well, they can't all win, can they? Knowing the refs in this League, owt could 'appen
[Image: 5-KEXd9X-r7pZnh6g3MLYliHdVEWdfcOVsXoF2Zq...91-h378-no]
The good news is, even Liverpool are only 3 points above us, so far. Thumb up

What's everyone worth?
A helluva lot more than us - except for Cardiff - apparently. Doh

Injury News
Woooooah Kevin de Bruyne, star of a clip on BBC Breakfast this morning has buggered his knee up in training. Well, we won't miss him if he's injured. He got subbed against us last season. No news as yet of any Town injuries from Saturday.

Fan Watch
There was a rather big mouthed young'ish lady (I'll use the phrase advisedly), who possibly wasn't even a twinkle in her mum and dad's eyes let alone born when Citeh beat us 10-1 at Maine Road all those years ago, who was giving it large on the train to Mancland last season regarding how many goals she thought they'd score. Hope she's in the same train carriage as me again this weekend. Wot a gob-shite Doh

Best song I've heard at the Emptyhad?
It's still the whole set that Bruce Springsteen played to be honest.
Is it me or don't YouTube video's work on here anymore? Something they've done regarding copywrite? Or just this website going arse-over-tit again?

Points, goals, free kicks, corners, throw in's? Hell, I'd take winning the toss again right now.  Laugh

Well done to Chris Schindler for signing another contract before the Chelski game, regardless of dodgy referees decisions against Chelski, he knws it makes sense. Whistle

Happy weekend folks Thumb up  Big Grin  Smile
Nice one, theo.

Not lost a league game at City since 1987. I'm sure we can keep that record going. Thumb up

I couldn't get the YouTube things to work either by the way. Doh
Theo, I've tried to fix the images you posted but only been able to add your club crest as I can't work out what the other images are of. The web addresses to each one does not work and that why they are not showing anything.
What browser are you on SCO? I can't think of any more browsers I can check. It all worked on everything I looked at he other day. Might explain why some folk don't post anymore or as often if all they can see is text.

just checked a couple myself - fookin' hopeless, to use a phrase that might be from a well known Wendies poster. Give me 5 minutes.
I am on Chrome on my laptop, most of it shows up on Safari on my ipad.
Everything missing is in Google Photos. So far - 1 pic has disappeared completely and some that I've fixed have had their web address changed yet again by Google. How the hell are you supposed to do anything with this crap if they change the web address every other day? Never mind our threads - you can't share photo's with friends and family either. Still working on it. That 5 minutes might take an hour, and another bottle of vin rouge to fix.

I've edited it this time in Edge but had to use Chrome to get the (yet again) new web addresses for the images I posted to Google Photos.

OK folks, have another go. If Google Photos continues to be a complete and utter pain in the arse I'll look for somewhere else to post screen shots and clips.
A load have disappeared now.
Well fixed again - I think. Tried fixing on IEx11 and it was a waste of time. if it goes pear shaped again I give in. IexP seems to be the biggest pain in th'arris'.
The way the fixtures have fallen, we should be out of the bottom 3 before we kick off on Sunday. Whistle
Just need the game calling off on Sunday then M'Lord
