Wahbi Khazri has completed a move to French side AS Saint-Étienne.
The Tunisian international, who joined the Black Cats from Bordeaux in 2015, also spent last season in France, on loan at Rennes.
The 27-year old has signed with the Ligue 1 side for an undisclosed fee.

Paul Warne has secured his fourth signing ahead of the Championship season, with Billy Jones arriving at Rotherham United from Sunderland.
The experienced 31 year-old has played in the Premier League with West Brom and the Black Cats, as well as enjoying spells in the Championship with Crewe, Preston and again at the Stadium of Light.

Wigan Athletic have re-signed winger Callum McManaman on an initial one-year deal from League One side Sunderland for an undisclosed fee.
The 27-year-old began his career with the Latics, making 109 appearances for the club and scoring 17 goals.

Sunderland have signed free agent Glen Loovens on a two-year deal.
The experienced Dutchman is new boss Jack Ross' seventh signing of the summer following the acquisitions of Tom Flanagan, Chris Maguire, Jon McLaughlin, Alim Ozturk, Reece James and Dylan McGeouch.
Loovens joins the Black Cats after a five-year spell at Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.
He began his career in his homeland at Feyenoord, before moving to Cardiff - initially on loan - in 2005.

Stewart Donald says he doesn’t expect Didier Ndong, Bryan Oviedo, Lamine Kone or Papy Djilobodji to play for the club again.The quartet have revealed they want to leave the Black Cats this summer after the club were relegated to League One.

Donald told Roker Report there has been interest in most of them, but wages and personal terms could be an issue with them.
On Ndong, he said: “There is interest from four or five clubs and they are all very close to the valuation.
“There’s been an increase in interest in Oviedo. Brugges expressed an interest but I don’t think they can afford him.
"There’s a German club and a French club who have shown an interest now.
“Kone, there’s interest in but not at our valuation. With Djilobodji, it’s quite quiet.
“I don’t think we’ll see them in a Sunderland shirt again so it becomes a financial transaction.”
Djilobodji and Ndong have refused to return to training, and as such the club has stopped paying their wages. Kone is back at the Academy of Light, but is training away from the first team while Oviedo is due back on Wearside next week after his World Cup exertions with Costa Rica.

Essentially mercenary players who were only interested in the payday that Sunderland were daft enough to give them and now both sides are reaping the rewards of bad decisions by the previous regime at the club.
I think that most are who come to this country and I do blame the clubs themselves for not long term planning
I have to say I admire Warnock at Cardiff although he`s bought untested EPL players he`s bought hungry young homegrown players thus if Cardiff do return to the Championship there is something to build on for immediate return
"You pay more for a proven EPL Players" and those are the players you need, not necessarily true when WBA last year bought Gibbs, Barry and Rodriguez added to a solid EPL squad and had and had an awful year that couldn't have been predicted
I guess it`s down to many things the whole transfer market-luck, management of players, system and tactics, motivation, etc but Sunderland are a great example of what not to do! Fair Play to Jack Ross and the new owners for attempting to turn it round, I hope they have success on the pitch when the season starts
