A few ajustments from last weeks post but mostly the same
and here it is last seasons table
https://www.fctables.com/england/champio...2016_2017/ dont get depressed yes that is us in 4th position and it will probably be our highest finish for the next few seasons anyway Whistle
we are now concentrating on not getting relegated because i think sneaking the playoffs is way out Whistle and what we see is that Forest were lucky not to go down on 51pts the same as Blackburn only 2 goals better off on -12 .
we are on -12 already Sad and if 52pts was the safest bet then we now need 14pts from 9 games Smartass
Home games
Preston
Fulham
Reading
Norwich
Away games
Leeds
Sunderland
QPR
Hull
Wolves
So now after throwing 2 easier home games away and only taking a miserable point
its 4 home games and 5 away in not in our favour
Quite frankly i cant see us getting 10pts never mind 14pts we are going to have to hope and prey that the shite below us keep being shite
It's not looking good but I said this last July
Home games
Preston L
Fulham L
Reading D
Norwich L
Away games
Leeds L
Sunderland L yes, even against this shite
QPR L
Hull L
Wolves L
Sorry, but on current form, that's all I can see
I see us going down. Sorry everyone. I wish I felt differently.
Leeds away in a derby next saturday could make or break the rest of the results for me
im only hoping for a win though as i cant see it happening
infact we might give them the confidence to go on and sneak the playoffs
seriously if we can only take 1pt from Ipswich and Bolton at home then we had better look for other results going our way or we are fcuked
We're f'ucked
results won't keep going our way and we'll bottle it in the last game
Accrington here we come
Actually
it's not far to Accrington from here and I won't have to pay fifty quid to get in
the pies will be top notch n'all
I still think we will stay up, not necessarily because we manage to win games but because the others don’t manage to win their’s. Between now and the end of the season there are 16 games left between teams near the bottom, including us, and every one of those will either see one team lose or both teams drop 2 points.
I think we need 6 points to stay up, that will mean the Dingles need to win 4 games, Brum and Burton need to each win 5 games and Sunderland 6 from their last 10. None of these teams have shown anywhere near that form, in fact even with our shocking form we have still pulled away from those in the relegation zone by two points since Carlos left!!! Nothing guaranteed of course and it may come down to the last few games but we have to find those 6 points from somewhere.
I would like to think that over the next 2-3 weeks we will see 3-4 of our first team players back and that we can take 3 points off Reading at home plus a draw with Norwich and somehow find that extra 3 points from one win at either Sunderland, QPR or Hull. If we can do that we will be safe and can finally put this shite season behind us and find a way to move forward again.
6 points will only get us to 44 SCO. In any season that means relegation. So I don't follow your rationale. Unless you think we'll draw 6 other games? The team I've been seeing hasn't a chance of doing this.
44 points will see us survive. Out of the last 6 seasons, a team on 44 points would have survived in 4 of them. If we can get two wins then as I said Sunderland need to win 6 of their last 9 games to catch usa, Birmingham would have to win at least 5 of their remaining 9 games, and Burton would have to win 5 of their final 10. Even the dingles will need to win 4 of their last 9. I cannot see them doing that. Its also worth noting that as bad as we have been, over the last 10 games they are all below us in the form table so they have been even worse!!! For them to catch us their form will have to improve to levels they haven’t reached all season!! You really think they can do this??
The caveat is that we need 6 points, and that isn’t going to be easy at all without 3-4 first team players getting off the treatment table and then performing better than what we currently have available. The team we have been seeing had no chance of beating Derby, but we did, we need to find 2 more of those performances to survive.
Lets also remember we have only one game in the next 3 weeks, L**ds away and then the international break. For the past 8 weeks we have been playing 2 games a week with a very limited squad, so Jos hasn’t been able to do much with the players besides prepare for a game or recover from a game. We have got one player back in Lees, but in that time have also lost Matias, Thorniley, Hunt for a few games, and Pudil to suspension for a few games. Reach is our one player who seems to be able to go for 90 mins, but even he looks shattered at the moment. These next two weeks will give the players a rest, give Jos time to work on formations/tactics and hopefully get some players fit. I am hoping that we will see a different side when we play Preston on Good Friday, both in terms of fitness, tactics and personnel!!
Midfield is where we are crap at the moment, getting back Hutch and Bannan in there alongside Clare will make us so much better, put Reach at wingback with Hunt on the opposite side, play Lees, Venancio and Pudil at CH and any 2 from Joao, Nuhiu and Rhodes up top would give us a chance to win a couple of games we might currently lose. We have essentially 3 weeks to get enough of these players back to dramatically improve the team over what we have been playing.
Good luck, and I know how it feels to watch your team implode, but I don't that will happen for you lads, so don't worry.
Hope SWO is ok?
Two wins from twenty one games...
This is unfathomable.. So many people need sacking
Players like Matias have spent two years not playing and getting paid.
Injuries which never seem to end. Most expensive squad and its in the top ten shitty teams
