Big rumors and supposed bids over the last few days about Andy Carroll and Conte wanting a big man up front

Carroll for me is a talent but never achieved in the game what he should have, oh and an appalling injury record thus the return on his goal scoring prowess isn't up to much

Earlier on the Chelsea forum I made a thread about `talent already there`, well yes Chelsea do have a big man with a very decent scoring record who dosent have an appalling injury record and i`m sure he`ll get more chances on goal fed by Hazard and Pedro than Tom Carroll and Nathan Dyer, that man Mr Conte is Tammy Abraham

They're trying to sign Peter Crouch now.

Either Carroll or Crouch signing for Chelsea would be a move out of complete desperation by Conte. Chelsea have been unable to replace Costa's physicality and if they thought Morata was the answer to that then they were blind in the first place. Morata will score goals but he will not hassle a defence in the same way Costa did, and this alone left space for Hazard and others to exploit. Morata doesn't do that and is more in the mould of Torres who had Drogba alongside him to do a lot of the dirty work. Neither of the guys mentioned are good enough for a top 6 team and as you say there has to be someone in Chelsea's enourmous academy who could provide a stop gap better than spending millions on a guy who has never reached his supposed potential nor a guy who is right at the end of his career.

Carroll is injured now surprise surprise, really hoped to be shot of him, he is a waste of space same as sakho, both of them have so much talent and such terrible attitudes

The Peter Crouch rumor came from someone messing about on Twitter and quite daftly the National press took it as gospel

I could never see crouch to Chelsea happening, dzeko has much more mileage in it but dont think that'll happen either be surprised if they bring anyone in tbh

They should go for Akinfenwa at Wycombe.
