Good to see Stevie Mallan finally signed by Hibs and suspect he'll be a straight swap for the departing John Mac.

He's more like scott allan, which makes me wonder if we really will go for him as part of the mcginn deal.

Mallan's a cracking wee player, i remember him totally bossing the midfield against us for st mirren, mcgeough and bartley couldnt get near him.
2nd bid for mcginn turned down.
Aye Jim! Lenny commenting on bbc radio that the valuation is well below Hibs asking price
Rumours of English clubs interested in mcginn now. He definitely wants to go to celtic but if clubs like Fulham and derby are in for him and offer him more money and the club a better fee then that's the way we should try and guide things.
I think his wages will have a bearing on where he ends up. Celtic can only pay a limited amount but when we see average players earning in excess of £60,000 a week it`s going to be difficult to compete. I would not suggest that John is in that wage bracket but he will earn more at Fulham or Derby than Celtic will probably offer and his transfer fee may reach £5m or£6m. Nice bit of business for the club.

Bidvest Wits have announced the signing of Scottish striker Simon Murray from Hibernian.

The 26-year-old, who will link up with the likes of Lehlohonolo Majoro and Hellings Mhango upfront at Wits, has also had stints at Downfield FC, Arbroath and Dundee United in his homeland.

His arrival at Sturrock Park helps offset the recent departure of fellow hitmen James Keene and Eleazar Rodgers to SuperSport United and Free State Stars respectively.

Besides Murray, the Clever Boys have recruited Bantu Mzwakali, Gift Motupa, Robyn Johannes, Deon Hotto, Brighton Mhlongo and Cole Alexander ahead of the new season.
That will certainly be a "new adventure" for Murray in this type of footie league.
Hibs interested in Man City winger, Thomas Apeyong, as a loan signing. It kinda makes sense - Lenny trying to add that extra pace to Hibs forward line, something he definitely favours.
So Hibs have received a 3rd Celtic bid for John McGinn who Lenny insists will be playing tomorrow night v Asteras Tripolis - still an element of negotiation and agreement to be concluded before a final deal is brokered OR an English footie club moves in with a superior bid.
